Problems connecting

hello i am having a problemwhen i select my character and i am in the world after a couple of secondes it disconects me why??

i was running a bit torrent and i closed it to see if it worked but it didnt will i have to redownload??

krissbb, I´m not really sure if this applies to you, but there is a similar post in the spanish forum; the answer (which seems that worked) was this (edited):

thanx but how do i change the port?? will it effect any other games and internet thing like Azureus bit torrnt programe

EDIT: will i try reinstalling regnum?

You should configure your own firewall (fw) telling explictly to allow this ports; this changes from fw to fw, kerio (for example) the first time you try to connect will ask you if you want to allow the connection (I just answered yes, and thats it, it remembers the answer).

Opening this ports should not interfere with any of the apps you mentioned.

Anyway if you want you can have a go reinstalling RO, you will not loose anything because all your relevant info is stored in the server.

BTW, what have you used to translate the text to spanish, it looks weird

We may have to test the game on several firewall applications and see what shortcomings could be.

Which leads us to making guides for different programs.
- Zone Alarm
- Windows XP firewall
- Sygate
- Kerio
Etc

I will personally try this at home tonight and see if I can make it work. Thanks for your feedback. If you get to play, please give us the details so we may include them on the connection guides.

nope its just when i connect after a couple of secondes it comes up with a message saying disconnected or something
