I just wanted to thank NGD Studios for providing us with a NATIVE Linux client. The game runs great and I've been enjoying myself so far. I look forward to the release of the new graphics engine.

I'm running this on Fedora 10, and the ONLY problem I had was with openAL. OpenAL for some reason flat out didn't work -- random volume, glitchy sound, etc. But, I removed openal, and installed openal-soft, and now sound works perfectly.

Yeah, the old implementation of OpenAL... sucks :P afaik some distros are replacing it with openal-soft.
