That guy obviously is Bavarian, not German.
Nice piece of technology, unfortunately I don't think it will serve another purpose than being nice to look at. :/

Here is more about this bird. Their AirJelly is not as impressive as their SmartBird, but looks also very nice.
One day such things will probably be used as drones. A Hummingbird drone was developed in the US (video). |

And look exactly like real birds. Nice for spying, didn't think of that.
Still, there's no real use for this kind of stuff, birds would use jet engines, too, if they could But it definitely looks nice. :P
