¿What is the karma within the forum?

According to several Eastern religions, karma is a metaphysical energy (invisible and immeasurable) which results from the acts of individuals. (wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma)).
Within the forum, is one way that users appreciate our actions: if we say things that are on topic or related to something important and aid users in the forum we can "reward" that user with positive karma that means we have good reputation. On the contrary, by saying things off-topic and not in relation to the topic you may reward us with negative karma, so we have a bad reputation

¿For what is the karma used?
Basically the objective of the karma is to difference a certain person that are with different ranks, this ranks are different names and are added by a image as the votes are added.

¿How does Karma work?
To begin with, you need to know how to add karma to a certain user:
When you see a post by a user you want to asign a karma (positive or negative) you need to look for this Icon:http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/images/regnumstyle/buttons/reputation.gif , and by clicking you can add karma (positive or negative) and leave a comment and to report a bad post comment is this Icon: http://download04.powerchallenge.com/regnum/images/forum/buttons/report.gif(This is not part of the reputation system but does help in moderation).

Every user start with low karma.

¿How much karma points can you give to a user?
The points ( positive add/ Negatives decrease) depends of the user, the power to give karma (Rep. Power ) depends on the following factors:

a) Start with 0 power (zero).
b) Every certain points of karma that is given to a certain user, gives them 1 point of power

¿How many people per day can we asign Karma?
You can asign karma to 2 people every 24 hour and before giving points to the same user you have to spread karma to 18 other users ( to avoid karma spam ).

How can I see how many points of reputation I have?
To view such information you have to enter the User Control Panel also known as User CP on the top left of the forum.
The more karma points you have the more karma icons you will have.

There is a image here in this post below for more information.

Is there another way to appareciate a user post/thread in the forum?
Yes, there is another way of doing it. What this do is shows in the thread listing stars (Alot of stars: Interesting, less star: less interesting,, no star: no one qualified the thread yet).

Look at the image example here: http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/11/34/20/46/th/pantal10.jpg (http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=282&u=11342046) (click the image to enlarge)

How do I report karma abuse?
For that there is a e-mail specifically tailored for forum and in-game abuses Abuse@ngdstudios.com.ar

Here I leave you a image of the forum reputation manager of this forum and Vbullentin.

Firstly sorry for raising an ancient topic, but what is blue karma? It doesn't add to the karma count nor does it lower it. I got the line shown in the attached picture quite a long time ago, but it's been bothering me since.

It was a topic created by me to suggestions, if that would explain something. My only guess it's a marx that the suggestion has been read by devs. (I read from the suggestions section that read topics should be marked some how, but didn't really understand how they should be marked...so assumed that they aren't, but at some point they had such intentions.)

Grey karma means that the user giving you karma has too low karma to give you karma. I don't know if the grey karma-calculation is related to your karma or the standard karma of 10 points.
