To me this is one of the best events ever run in RO. I'll put my notes in point form for the tldr folks.
Positives:
- the awards are worthy, useful awards. Specifically the 500 scrolls... everything else is bonus.
- great incentive for grinding (something that had to be done)
- duration was just right, not too long or short. I couldn't have gone at the pace I did for more than a few days.
- accurate updating rankings to see where we stood.
- best of it all was how the two simultaneous events affected one another. The hunters looking for the grinders for the rp, and the grinders trying to sneak under the radar and get as much farm as possible before ganked. Also had to fight with other grinders for the grind spots. It wasn't just about the grind speed, you had have some decent pvp skills to defend your grind spots.
I'd say over the weekend I was attacked about 50 times by hunters/locks/barbs. Won some, lost more. Did get adryanna and demuner once each which was nice even though they both got me at least twice in return.
