This is how probably NGD envisioned Regnum from the start.

Haven can only dream. The entire active Haven pop won't even come close to half of that.

Would we want it that busy, though? I enjoy hunting solo with hunter, then running through a small group with barb. Seems pretty impossible with a population like that. Still, it does look fun.
Also, too many MoDs there for my liking. Makes me nervous.

Months ago, I made a warlock on Ra just for such large-scale battles. Lvled it up to 53 so far, BUT have yet to ever see a battle of such sheer size with so very many targets-of-opportunity conveniently all bunched up for my areas. Tbph, I haven't seen a battle with even 1/2 as many as was in that vid. Just sayin'...

It usually happens only during invasions.
I've experienced one invasion of Ignis with what seemed to be double the amount of players of this video.
It was laggy to the point where my computer (i7 3930K @ 4.2GHz, GeForce GTX 780) couldn't pull out more than 15 FPS.
Not very enjoyable at all, even though it was very massive and cool.

That said, even though I don't like these zergy fights, the larger player base contributes to more action all over the map.
That's what I like with playing on RA.

After i've tested with a few system monitors ,i don't think is related to VGA or VRAM ,in my opinion is because they unlished that CPU to stay at 100% ,i remember when before this, game worked damn good .

Now my vram stays at 30-55% and GPU rare pass 60% ,during invasion /group ,but people teleport around ...

I think CPU stay to much at 100% and thinks play music or others just have no more space to be procesed ...also i can be wrong ,i have no ideea how is coded this game ... but to not use VRAM and GPU at max power looks weird ...also even at 120 fps in game people teleport or screen freez.

The CPU reading that is shown in game isn't the actual reading of your CPU's usage. I believe it means that your CPU is operating at 100% of the capacity required for the game. Check your system info. and see what your actual CPU usage is; mine is listed -/+ 1% but the game readings show 99-100. As far as your GPU and RAM usage, it's pretty high. What are your system specs if you don't mind sharing? A lot of the issues with people teleporting are latency issues, and not FPS. Even before I upgraded my computer it ran between 30-40 FPS on a good day, but I was having the same issue of players teleporting in game and it was always due to lag. I would say to upgrade your comp but since your GPU can handle the game at 120 FPS, maybe just knocking down the settings would help?

You have in screenshot how much CPU is using CoR from system.

And no ,i was not refering at latency ,my ping is around 80 ms, my screen flickr as i have 1 frame at 2 seconds and when meet new enemies, and controls of keyboard frozen, and additional system monitors show that GPU is going up ,so for sure is not VGA that cannot handle amount of visual effect but must be CPU that cannot handle all tasks (as keyboard commands).

First test was made on Linux with intel i5 CPU 2,4 GHZ and ATI HD 7850.
Second try i used my old MacBook 2,1 ,CPU dual core 2 duo at 2,4 Ghz ,GPU ATI X1600 with 256 VRAM.(true is too old system for game ,bt just to be able to use better system monitors)
I will make other test today with other MacBook 6,2 CPU i5 2,6 GHz ,8 GB RAM and GeForce GT 330M (dual core graphics) ..

I believe the same .
When surak told he tweaked at max OpenGL engine i believe him,he did ,the issue must be as flash-players does ,the rendering is happening like 70% in CPU and 30% in GPU.(i just suppose by system monitors)
And also other think from ,from other old tests ,the same only on OpenGL (linux and mac) only shadow ,and a little terrain details affected FPS ,other visual effect doesn't affected much gameplay .

Well Ra certainly has more population as compared to Haven!

wow the action looked very smooth and fast. i noticed in the vid that movement speed was much faster. the colors looked brighter than what they are now and its more zoomed out... or is it just my computer thats different?? my ro client has been acting slower as time passed by.

solution: go back to the roots, and merge Ra with Haven creating Raven :3

I would prefer the name Ha. (tongue-in-cheek get it?)
