[POLL] Return old Horus name?

As GameSamba deal is over can we have old server name back please? I really miss Horus and getting this name back will be nice for many people. For me Haven sounds silly - this server have nothing common with "haven".

I like this idea, and not out of nostalgia. Haven is a place of safety, Horus was the god of war. The latter is certainly a more suitable name.

All other server names are names of gods. Horus and Raven are also gods. Haven is not a god. That's why haven should get a name change. But is it important? not really.

Horus does seem to make more sense from a war perspective, but I don't really care about the name to be honest, just as long as the server runs fine. Which it does not.

I agree, I like the idea, but question is how many players from Horus are still playing Regnum... If it is not trivial to change the name then I say don't bother...

It seems like a rather trivial change just for the sake of a handful of peoples nostalgia or elitism or whatever the reason may be.

It may not be a name of an Egyptian god like all the other servers but I still see it as a fitting name considering the history of the respective servers. Two servers on the brink of death combined to create a 'haven' of activity for its players. For a time it did feel like a haven compared to the servers we came from.

So no, I don't see why NGD should waste time on this. Even though Gamesamba is out of the picture, the server is still not Horus and it will never be. I know most of the former Horus community hates Gamesamba's guts but there's no denying their influence had a positive impact of this game and I would not like to see that forgotten.

I wouldnt mind a namechange as Haven sounds just so safe :p

but changing it back to horus would take a bit of the server's history 'away'

isnt there another warlike.. godlike.. name that can be slapped to the server
with a reason like.. the new, gamesamba free, balance update server (?) xD

but its not like im really annoyed by the name either, so in a non-offensive way i dont really care

Servers merged, should make a whole new name if people don't like "Haven" otherwise it would be unfair to those who preferred Raven over Horus.

It's a weird thing but i'd not like Horus to be the name.

I would like to have the "Raven" tag again too, just to see how many others were already playing some years at "Horus" before it became "Haven" merged with the young Server "Raven". Sounds good

The server and the game has changed since those times. As much as I loved Horus and have good memories playing then, all my Horus friends are gone now and the game has changed. I'd rather not have the name changed at all, and I'm sure the game isn't the same as it was on Raven too.
