Chat Tabs
Basic notions, functions and basic measures that can be taken by Helpers and GM’s

All chat tabs in-game follow a very simple series of rules, that depending on the name they carry, determine what kind of content the user will find and write in them.
Every player throughout his/her career, will find the following chat tabs:

Realm (named after the realm the character belongs to)
Commerce
General

Other chat tabs exist too that the player may find later on, which are secondary but also follow a series of regulations. These chat tabs are:

Clan
Party
Private (named after the character you’re having a private conversation with)
Warmaster (available for those who have the corresponding Warmaster power in their build)

Realm Chat
This chat covers all of the players from the same Realm that are currently inside of it.
It’s also worth mentioning that whenever a player exits his/her realm, it will not longer be available for him/her. (this may vary depending on the server configuration).
The function of this chat is purely social, as it allows players to simply maintain conversations and get to know each other better, so they can later on form friendships or bonds that may end up in Group Parties or even forming up a Clan.

It’s important to know that in this chat it is NOT allowed to:

Trade
Use CAPS to CALL EVERYONE’S ATTENTION.
Spam
Flood
Insult and other forms of verbal abuse.

Commerce Chat
This chat covers all of the players from the same Realm that are currently inside of it. This chat is also present at the Warzone Markets, but in different instances than those inside the Realm.
The function of this chat is to purely TRADE, as it allows players to link items directly from their inventories so the rest of the players can click on them and see what they offer.

It’s important to know that in this chat it is NOT allowed to:

Simply chat in a social manner; socialize.
Use CAPS to CALL EVERYONE’S ATTENTION.
Spam
Flood
Insult and other forms of verbal abuse.

General Chat
This chat is meant to allow players to communicate with other users that are simply nearby (inside their vision range). This way, players can interact with their mates without having to flood other channels, such as Realm Chat or WarMaster Chat.
As a curiosity, this chat never gets closed, which means that as long as the player goes around the map and chats with people from all over the world, all interactions will be stored in it.
Besides, this chat can also show up both Party and Clan entries, ordering these chronologically.

It’s important to know that in this chat it is NOT allowed to:

Simply chat in a social manner; socialize.
Use CAPS to CALL EVERYONE’S ATTENTION.
Spam
Flood
Insult and other forms of verbal abuse.

Clan Chat
This chat is meant to gather up all the members from a single clan into one chat room so they can conversate with each other, regardless of their position in the game world.
The font in this chat is coloured green, and it also indicates whenever a fellow player enters or exits the chat channel.
Even though this channel is private but concerns a whole group of players, activity such as Spam, Flooding, Verbal Abuse, using Caps, etc; can be reported.

Party Chat
This chat is meant to gather up all the members from a single party into one chat room so they can conversate with each other ,regardless of their position in the game world.
The font in this chat is coloured orange.
As far as restrictions go, activity such as Spam, Flooding, Verbal Abuse, using Caps, etc; can be reported.

Private Chat
Named after the character you’re having a private conversation with, this is the only chat room that’s actually 1 on 1. There are no strict regulations in these chat rooms, as long as both people interacting fully agree on the content being written.
However, if the latter is not respected, players can obviously report their counterpart behavior.

Chat WarMaster
This chat covers all of the players from the same Realm, that are also WarMaster and have the corresponding ability included in their build.
The purpose of this chat is purely social and related to game events that occur in the warzone.

It’s important to know that in this chat it is NOT allowed to:

Trade
Use CAPS for UNNECESSARY ATTENTION SEEKING. This means that caps, if used, should only be for particular situations such as calling for regrouping or defending something, and not just saying "hi" or any other irrelevant stuff. However, avoid using caps at all, everyone can read you. Writing non-stop in caps, even if it's gameplay-related, will be considered as unnecessary attention seeking and the GM available will be allowed to apply measures.
Spam
Flood
Insult and other forms of verbal abuse.

Chat Regulations and Measures

In case any of the players start ignoring the regulations previously indicated, measures can be taken in order to preserve a general good behavior and healthy environment.
These measures may be applied by any of the game administrators, developers or moderators that may or may not be part of NGD Studios staff, like for example, community volunteers (Helpers; GC’s; GM1’s; GM2’s; etc)

In case any of the already indicated regulations are broken, the moderator/administrator/developer (simply “GM” from now on) may interfere.
The GM will have to, in all cases, prioritize having a conversation with the person (or the group of people) that’s misbehaving, to determine the origin of his behavior and, if possible, try to help out in case the user is having a problem/issue and it’s manifesting it by going against the rules.
It’s also worth mentioning that if the situation calls it, the GM WILL have the chance to bypass this and proceed on applying severe measures in order to establish order again.

Measures that can be taken escalate as the problem grows, and are:

- PM the user that’s presenting problems.
- If after the PM attempt the problem persists; the GM can and will mute the user for the rest of his session, or for a fixed period of time.
- If after the mute the problem persists; the GM can and will kick the user out of the server.
- If after the kick the problem persists; the GM can and will apply (or ask for) a game account ban.
The magnitude of the measure taken is purely determined by the one who applies it, who must always consider the gravity of the problem, as well as the behavior history of the user who’s causing troubles.
Depending on this, game account bans may be temporary or even permanent. The second case almost always leads the user to the game’s Support system.

As said before, if the GM or Administrator considers it necessary, he/she may apply severe measures without even having to chat with the source of the problem.

In all cases, no matter which tab it is, trading account is completely forbidden. This derives in a direct permanent game account ban.
If the use of secondary accounts to trade game accounts is detected, his/her main accounts may be tracked and the corresponding measures may be applied to them as well.

Other cases such as trading items for Ximerin or real life money are also worth mentioning.
These kind of transactions are NOT supported by NGD Studios, and in case any kind of scam or deceit occurs, the affected may NOT receive official support or assistance.
This also includes offering services that are only given by Premium Items, such as Item Fusion; Gem Removal; Socket engraving, and so on.
If a user performs (or tries to) such trade attempts, the moderator/administrator (regardless of his/her range) will be able to apply the measures previously explained.
