Tree Hug is part of the game, but they are some inconsistencies.
We can to understand why a player can't hit directly another when he is behind a tree.
An arrow will not throw the tree :-)
But what about a meteore, a mage grab a meteore from universe and he is able to do a precise hit. as the meteore come from the sky why he could not hit the guy behind the tree?

He needs a direct line of sight on the target in order to focus the meteor on them. You can't really hit what you can't see.
Problem: cast time. Solution: give mage a buff like UM and with 100% cast speed (Instant).

I think he means an additional one on top of Arcane Devotion.
That being said, I sometimes compare Freeze and Winter Stroke.

At the current state of the game with lvl cap 60, and higher DPS the arcana devotion should be a passive spell.
Moreover my mage friends dont bother with intellience passive as its effect is neglible. I suggest make arcana passive and swap its place with intelligence passive. Then change the intelligence passive into the casting spell boosting spell focus, something useful for any caster.
Warriors and archers got now nice variety of means and spells to boost their critical hits (as infact they are normal/critical hit clasess, besides buffs other spells are just spicy addon). Spell focus boost would be handy for pure caster class>> mage.

Spell focus is significantly less useful to a conj than a lock. For a support conj I'd guess about 1 out of every hundred casts is offensive (ivy/mind push etc.) so a spell focus buff would be about 100 times less important to a conj than a lock. Also making AD passive would give too significant an advantage to mages in general open field. It would limit the effectiveness of confuse and darkness.

I fully agree with this. I think AD is ok now with its instant cast (my god, remember when it wasn't?), lack of cast animation and long duration.

If you're talking purely in game lore style, then why can't you hit what you can't see? You can know a precise location without having a direct LOS. Maybe a better explanation would be the Meteoroid is pulled into a re-entry (becoming a Meteor) by the mage using some sort of manipulation of forces that would cause the tree to crush the mage if they tried it when the target was the other side of the tree! :)
FYI 'Meteor' is not well named it should be Meteorite!

Yo, to fix treehugging issue ngd can give archers stunning fist with instant cast, or more acrobatic moves like kick or bow bash and mages can get more instant or faster cs right
