I've heard that NGD will allow it but not help if you get scammed, and I've heard that NGD will ban you for it. So which is it? Is there any difference if it's for IRL cash or xim?

What's with all your stupid questions? Any form of real life currency for trading is not supported by NGD, so they will use their discretion when it comes to a ban, which is why they will sometimes ban, and other times not deem it necessary. Also, if you get scammed by doing anything else other than trading item for item, they will not help you get your items back, because it's not supported, and harder to track down seems it's easier for them to check trade logs than sift through bullshit evidence from the players.

Since weeks I have seen in Ra's chat ppl selling mgs for real money. I asked one of the 'sellers' if he wasnt afraid to be banned and he just laughed at me and said that it was just 'business' and that it wasnt against NGD's rules. Well, I doubt if NGD is happy with this kind of 'players' abusing his game to make profit out of it irl. Personally I think this conduct is shameless and should be punished.

Just because he hasn't been caught doesn't mean it's not against the rules. But to be honest, most people who have sold stuff in this game for real money have put all that money back into the game and more, or used it to feed their dog.
