Hi;

Good to see some English speaking resources !

I have a problem, I am still a beginner (2nd day) and went to Crystal Island
and got to Valhala, I clicked on the stub of a pillar and was transported to
the Conflict Zone ! Is there a way to get out without dying ? If so could
someone give me a hint ? !!

Thanks Vili

The only way out is to walk to the gate and teleport back. When you go, unarm yourself and you may be spared when seen by the enemy. If you "kill yourself" you'll spawn back at your original spawn point.

Thanks

I followed the roads and got back to the Gate. One basic question
troubles me. What is the effect, if any, on the character, when they
die? (besides being born at the last save point)

1. Does it differ if you die on the beginners island vs outside of it?

2. Does it differ if you kill yourself vs something else killing you?

3. Does it differ if you are killed by a monster vs being killed by enemy?

It seems so far not a lot of consequence from dying, you don't go down
in level, or lose xp, you don't lose quests or inventory, so ...... are there
no consequences?

Thanks, Vili

The only bad thing is you get Necrostacy which lowers your traits - but no biggie since all you need to do is kill monsters to get back to normal. There are no permanent side-effects

You only get Necrostacy when a monster kills you. If you die from a realm enemy (a real person), then you do not get necrostacy, you will just be teleported to your alter. And that realm enemy will get realm points for killing you.

Actually, you didn't get teleported into the war zone. The teleport pad in Valhalla actually takes you close to the wall but still within the inner realm (near the fire pendant altar to be exact). If you can't find someone to lead you back you can choose to "suicide" as Solarus has pointed out.

Hi;

Thanks, for the comments, I explored, and walked out to the Gate. I didn't
know I could, since I wasn't sure where I was ! Wondered if I had to find
another pillar.

OK, back to dying, (it's a more basic topic, not discussed alot) I have
only been playing almost a day (only level 9). I have been killed by monsters
a few times, and drowned in a lake. They each seemed to add 1% necrostacy

I take it that this percentage refers to a lowering of character "traits" by
that percentage. What are the character traits referring to? I'm new and
confused!

It was stated that only being killed by monsters contributes to this percent
and not to worry since the decrease can be reversed by playing the game.
What does the character have to do to reverse the decreased "traits" ?

Thanks Again, Vili

Yea in Ignis we have the same thing, these little things that look like metal tree stumps, and if you click then they take you to WZ. Necro only goes up to 10%, and like everyone before me has said, it can e removed easily.

Uh... Be sure you didn't walk out the WZ gate and into the WZ itself! It's pretty close to where you got teleported to.

As for necrostacy, you can press 'c' to view your character window. From there you can see how much necrostacy you've accumulated and how it's affecting your stats. The attributes you see under your stats will all show 0 figures so don't be alarmed. They're just not implemented yet.

Amade;

Ok, I've seen the character window (of course), just not in the last
couple of hours (LOL) !

Is it true then that Necrostacy affects, the Character leveling stats
like Strength, Constitution, etc, or the ones that are currently zero's since
not implemented yet? Or both sets of stats ?

Let's look at the bottom line, say a character is at a level where the points
have been distributed as such:

0% Necrostacy with 10% Necrostacy

Strength 110 Strength 89.9
Constitution 100 Constitution 90
.
.
.

Is the above what I would see? If so that is a significant decrease in a
Characters stats, you would be able to make it back to Strength 110 at a
higher level, but at any level you would be a weaker player then one with
0% Necrostacy, at the same level. At max level couldn't get anymore stat
points (just guessing) and would forever be a little disadvantaged.
Please let me know if I have this wrong !

Thanks, Vili

As far as I'm aware necro only affects the first set of stats. The other set, while it does work in-game it is simply not displayed in the window for reasons NGD only knows why.

Yes, it works the way you guessed it except that the figures are rounded up and you can get rid of necro by killing MOBs (and enemy players too I noticed). So you won't be forever disadvantaged by it. As Solarus mentioned, it isn't permanent.

Btw, 110 - 10% = 99 ;)

Greetings;
This is all good stuff to put out there for English speaking peoples
to know ! All I knew was that that when you died, you got a Necro %
and the stats went RED, and after a few kills they weren't RED any
longer! What's that mean? While it's red your stats are lowered, but
when it's no longer RED your stats have returned to normal? I've only
died once and don't want to experiment !

they're Red when it's lowered. and white when normal.
and there are spells to make them higher, than they're green. but you have to level up and go to trainer to get new spells.

if you die your necrostacy goes 1% up.
but after you kill a monster, or some, it goes down again and you're stats become normal.
so it won't affect you permanently!

Well from my experience the necrostancy goes up like this:
- die by water: 5% up
- die by mob: 2% up
- die by realm enemy (players and guards): 0% up
- die by menu option: no idea

Same as die by enemy mob - 2%

Nah, depends. Sometimes 5%, sometimes 0% depending where you are (ie, in a known hole or in the arena, 0%).

And no one told it but killing enemy vendors removes necrostacy faster it seems (maybe not faster, but since they're so easy to kill it's really fast). Also, just to be clear, in no realm you can use a teleporter to get in the WZ except the gate teleporter. The teleporters in the initiation zone go to the middle-level zone, near the wall (Medenet wall for Ignis).

Nope. We have one teleport pad from the middle realm that drops you out in North Cliff/Risco. From what my clan-mate told me, it was a remnant from the Beta-testing days. Used to be useful during those times, not very practical these days.

Does the fire altar in arvanna in syrtis count? It drops you ontop of some big trolls near the west end of the wall.
