Hello guys, i passed sometime out of forum due things to solve in real life; but now that i found some time to come back i found out that there had another nerf in the ranged class (archers) in RO, which was cut the range from grouding arrow from 30 to 20.
and is not needed to own master degree to know that in this year this was one of the worst changes ever. ( no matter if you agree or not, i just have to tell here my opinion about this aspect of the game)
why it was a bad change?
simple...
a mage now have more casting speed than 2 years ago. also own sultar (mass knock down & damage ) fixed in range 30. also own picking ivy in range 25 and all those spells he can cast very fast as everyone here know. under range 25 is the "death zone" for anyone which be gotten by a mage, because from this range he can silence dizzy (as we know he can dizzy since range 30), and open combos to arrive closer and finish you fast.
now look. out the normal shots and a few range 0 spells, the archers, such hunters and marksmans cant do nothing to combo or avoid a mage to arrive closer than range 30.
i will talk about hunters here because is the class most fucked and with less crowd control spells on this game.
a hunter atm only can run and use streps, so the mage can choise "join on the hunter game" or simply turn back or hug a tree.
but if the mage wish to chase look that as soon he arrive in range 30 he can just sultar the hunter, or if in 25, picky ivy him then silence and the max that the hunter can do ( if dont be in cd, which i doubt ) is use sotw. the hunter now only will be able to use grouding arrow from range 20, and in range 20 my friend who will be wishing to hinder and stay close will be the mage, so grouding arrow will be useless.
now against a Barbarian.
the barbarians won some improvments, such more speed in spring and instant casting in bersek.
roar is range 10-12 or so, while grouding arrow is range 20. now look that a barbarian rushing to you under UM and spring from range 25, when the hunter turn back to cast grouding arrow, those few secs which he lose to turn and cast ( will not be less than 1.0 ) will allow the barb to cut distancy enough to roar....then the rest you know....typhoon/ rage of the earth, >>> hit hit hit x_x.
what i want say with this post is that in no one game, in no one, we will find a ranged class ( such archers ) having less range spells than a mage or beying forced to play under range 20 against a warrior which can cover a distancy of range 25 in less than 8 secs.
this dont make any sense, and i really wonder if i am the only one who really disagreed with this change, that surely was the result of complains and cry from some losers that if could, would ask for the NGD make every single enemy just sit and stay there for they manage get some kill.
Kind regards,
