Lol, he just runs around for a while doing pretty much nothing. I hope the 36000 people who are subscribed don't take these 2 morons seriously.

I've seen many videos like this one. For people who played MMO with better graphic, animations and combat system that require more than clicking on enemy this game will be nothing. I won't mention empty zones.. however RvR and big scale wars are great here but leveling is damn boring and so slow... Thats why people leaving game after few mins or hours. :)

They're right. The levelling system is "simply not fun." NGD would be wise to listen to some of the suggestions that others have made already that simply do away with the levelling and get straight to the RvR fun. There's no point trying to squeeze XP scroll purchases out of a nonexistent population.

Besides that, the other major issues:

1. Realm imbalance (easily solvable by removing the levelling system.)
2. Gear imbalance - most of the people that still play are the ones with insane gear. This discourages new players who can't possibly compete fairly.
3. Class imbalance - giving all the power to warriors and making other classes support them was a horrible idea that excludes players' favorite play styles.

If I owned NGD, I would do this:

1. Leave RA alone.
2. Make the following changes on Haven:
a. Revert max level to 50 and new players start at level 50.
b. Make all possible equipment purchasable with gold. Make the outcome of PvP depend on player choices, not how much they gamble with lucky boxes and bosses.
c. Use Ximerin for cosmetic things that don't affect war.
d. Remove WMC and Champion Coins.
e. Work on class imbalance.

What do they have to lose?

I'm sure that many old players would want to play with these changes. I wouldn't recommend this game to any friends without these changes (I tried before and they all laughed at how insanely boring the grind was.)

Revert max level to 50 whilst people have already spent many hours reaching 60 and getting WM items and champ gear lol.

Thank fuck you dont 'own' NGD.

How many people still play regularly? Maybe 60? Who cares? I'd bet that most of those people would gladly revert to 50 for the sake of a more fun game.

If you ask me, I'm still for the reaching L60 fast, within a week or two by questing only, by this way, the population could reach a healthy number in each realm > realm imbalance wouldn't be such a huge issue, neither would be class and spell imbalance, meanwhile they could rework the whole XIM shop, fill it up with "cosmetic" stuff ( new and funny emotes, weapon skins, costumes, event-related items etc.)

Once that slow and boring leveling system and grinding is no more, I'm sure that there will be more and more new players, more L60 players and if you add the right items to the XIM shop, your income will be higher as well. Good for everyone! :thumb:

Rather make it easier to reach 60 than revert the whole thing back to max 50. Kowocki already posted many times on how to make it less frustrating.

They are right.
I myself invited many friends IRL to play with me and i get exactly the same feedback.
The grinding system is very old, boring, slow...and for players who are updated and play new games, RO will look the worst.
But for us, it is not just a game, we just can't leave it forever.

the lvl 1-40 with updated quests and old realm tasks is like walking in the park, lvl 40-49 is a game killer-> no realm tasks, few mobs to grind (somebody forgot to update them ;) ).

From 50 fun begins-> war, grind feast-> whole warzone now full of mobs of suitable lvl. From lvl 55 you do dragon raids and when finally 60 the battle zones.

Just cut the boredoom of 2 000 000 exp from 40 to 50. then focus on fixing bugs and new content for battle ready population (starting from lvl 50).

I think the situation calls for more drastic changes.

For us, 1-40 is easy; but hardly anyone would describe it as fun. It's something to get through. Most people drop off before level 40 because these days, most people won't spend days doing something that isn't fun. I agree that 40-50 goes from "not fun" to "gruelling," but changing that probably won't help enough.

i dont understand how basic stuff like
- save map zoom by default
- expand log by default
- show quests/party on map by default
is not fixed yet. new players are basically expected to open up their options first
