There is no way they are worth 5k mags anymore, infact I haven't seen many people put them to use.

I totally agree

Probably yes, because they are lvl 45, too low to give it a deserved use.

I think a fair price would be 5 or 6L

I can agree to this as well. Thing is: what happens with those that already had their weapons for 10 ingots? You know, any change like this one comes along with complaints, ragequits, demands, etc.

Suggestions like this one need to have that discussion as well.

Just did one yesterday so don't cuck me.

Give the people with lvl 45 magnas weapons a "Melt Weapon" and a
"Remove Gems", dont know how hard it is for you to make this possible.

Well this sounds like a easy solution, but it's a bit tricky, if you want to avoid superb arbitrage, after old magna weapon is at 5 mag ingots.

Ok, how about this? Code a new option that makes any 'new' 45 mag weapon different, in a date-specific way. Each type, old & new, will have some kind of ID in the game-code that identifies them as old, or new. Also, to avoid confusion/deceptions, anyone looking at one will see in the weapon's name/description that it is old, or new. 45 weapons made after this set date will cost less & if melted, yield less, & those older 45 weapons made before this set date will remain unaltered, & if melted, will still render their full worth. Possible?....

Make new item or NPC service which converts old 45 magna weapons to pre-change costs (including removing gems). Then add the same stats/skins weapons with new lowered costs. ;)

Giving melt weapon is bad idea because you can use it on 55 magna stuff.

Old AND various new Magna weapons mostly serve one purpose only anyway: Their skin. (same with Dragon weapons etc.).
It is an expensive skin, so what? It can justifiably stay the way it is. Except.. maybe give two-handed weapons a meaning again? <.<

This seems like great idea. And using a litle bit of lebeau's idea and it should be fine. Make that the item on the shop only works with a certain item, dependig on its description.

^ This, or some other variation could work too. Leave the skin & gems as is. One 'simple' variation: just lower the mag-cost in the code, thus changing all existing (& future) 45 mag weapons to this new form (which looks exactly the same), & as part of the same patch, do a one-time-refund of magnanite to all owners of the old 45 mag weapons, in the amount of whatever the difference in cost is decided to be. Possible?....
