Ironic indeed...

I assume this is a bug, aquantis should be immune to drowning seeing how they are aquatic creatures who hail from the bottom of the ocean... yeah.

I'd imagint hey'd have gills and lungs like many amphibians of today's world.

after all they LIVE at the bottom of the ocean right? Thats kinda a long time to hold your breath...

Aquantis should be immune to drowning

I agree that they should be immune to drowning, and why does FIRE do more dmg to them then LIGHTNING, shouldn't lightning be more effective against them because that would make more sense?

heh, electric attacks should be a instant kill to anyone who is touching water.

IE: This would counter suicide to escape giving up RP... Some coward runs for the water, and zap.

But maybe this is getting too detailed? I dunno...

that all depends tho, with that much water, should you be soaked completly, taking into account the waters salinity and thusly it's conductivity as well as the how mch power in the attack we could be looking at you coming out of this completly unscathed.

Under the right conditions with enough voltage lightning can jst go around yo as whatever's in the air around you is more conductive then you are.

Odd thing tho, all lightning attacks shold do more dmg to those around the epicenter of the attack then the central target, if you've ever seen where a bolt hits one person in a crowd the guy that takes the direct hit is less injured then those around him that recived damage from the concussive force of the shockwave generated by the strike. the guy in the epicenter recives less concussive dmg as the explosion is leaving away from him, the implosion in the open air is far less destrctive.

Hows that for too detailed?

Actually I think it should be taken into account... or at least considered. So the target should recieve less damage, but it should be an area attack, and the people around him recieve more damage.

One problem though, im sure the warlocks wont like another aggro area spell added to their attacks.

I was looking for that video of that soccer team that got nailed, the gy that got hit jumped up to hit the ball with his head, it dropped him and like 5 other guys around him, he got up like 3 secconds later while the rest of them where laid out for like over a min.

By chance do you thinkt he rubber soccer ball would have absorbed any of the lightning?

I assume it got hit as well... In which case it would explain why the player was not instantly killed, and why he appeared to appear in better condition then his team mates.

Yah, thats not the vid I was looking for tho, that one happened off screen, this one was on screen with more ppl in the general area of the strike.

The ball wold be no protection at all, and besides, the ball being rubber and/or leather would prolly make the lightning just go around it, electricity doesn't follow the shortest possible path, it follows the one of least resistance.

Also note, normal lightning goes from the ground up, tho in rare instances much more powerful bolts drop from the high atmosphere down, these ones are far more powerful and the actual bolt is materialized for much longer then normal. http://www.holoscience.com/news/img/Sprites.jpg

Lastly, lightning doesn't usually kill who it hits, to when you do get hit you usually aren't right anymore lol.
