At a certain lvl do you specifically start lvling up certain skills?

Not before lvl 8. I recommend you to read this (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=1157), there are tons of useful infos for beginners, especially about skills.

Ok, I read some of it and it didnt say anything about the lvl 8 thing.Thanks for the help.

At level 8 you can start to distribute points into your spells/abilities. When you click on your skill group the different abilities you have will appear on the bottom of the training screen. By adding a point to whatever skill/ability, it brings it to the next level increasing it's damage or whatever it does.;)
