I am starting this petition just to let the ngd team know the feelings of the players regaurding the terrible server lag.
Please do not make threats nor talk smack about the ngd team for they have brought us the best online game ever, so they deserve our support.
please everyone just talk about your experiences with the server lag, to let them know how serious of an issue this is to the players

I hope that by "new servers" you mean increasing the current hardware for Ra; it is definitely the weak point, the connection seems OK to me. NDG needs to invest in a better Ra. Not make new worlds. :)

The problem is mostly not the hardwares fault... its the servercode thats just crappy.
If the servercode gets improved im sure that the lag would better alot.

There should be one server like now, but bigger, better and telling us "Holas" with each log

Of course, but in the meantime throwing more hardware could help. Anyway at some point the hardware will not be enough and if the server software can be scaled horizontally (meaning throw in more servers = better performance) they will need it at some point.
Last time they tried to improve the server lag, it went awfully wrong.

Yes you are right, but i think its better to wait with the upgrade of the hardware before they improve the server code. Otherwise NGD might throw away alot of money on hardware, which could have gone to something else, when all they really had to do was go and rework some code to get the same result.

I'm with you on this one, improvement, not new worlds :D.
So, it's definitely the code?? Not the hardware, and not DB optimization issues, etc?? - Just asking out of curiosity!!! ;)

won't that cost money to get a new server? maybe when ngd gets more paying customers and has the sufficent amount of money. (then ngd can take a nice hoiliday :))

I posted about this before, more localized servers, like the german server Muspell, add at least 2 new ones, a spanish and an english server. But link all accounts and clans to all servers, this way anyone that wants can either continue on the international server that when overloaded gets too slow they can just relog onto a specific language server. On these servers it's be like going to muspell, its a server for that language, don't exspect to see ppl that don't speak that language on that server.
This would at the very least help the english speakin nublets get help when starting the game, as instead of joining the international server where the realm chat is dominated by the spanish majority, they would more likely join the english server where they could recive the help they need before being spam invited into a clan of other n00bs.
To keep ppl playing on the main server tho you make it so that RP only count there for ranking.
And yes, I'm all for being greeted by someone yelling "HOLAS!" every time I log in lol

Won't this make all people who want to lvl in peace migrate to the non-RP server then? I reckon the RP server would be very, very sparsely populated. Fort wars would be meaningless too, since you can't get reinforcements from people who are levelling (they're on the other server) and for the people who captured the fort there won't be many enemies coming in to take it back from them.

well i get no lag at all, except for those user peaks.
When 600 and more users are connected then the (server) ping is around 500-1000ms
usually its around 100-150ms for me
other reported the same behaviour
but all in all its a way better situation that some weeks ago when there was huge spelllag all the time

You have to keep in mind that servers and hardware costs money. To host them costs money. To place them and keep them running costs time costs money.
I think I've read somewhere that NGD lacks money and people to do such large things, and Muspell wouldn't be there without support from Gamigo. Extra servers would be great, but you can't just demand another server.

Yep actually I can tell the same. When 600 users are there playing is quite hard but everything below it works fine.
Hahahaha instead of making petition threads for new servers you should make petition threads that make the people buy Ximerin to support ngd ;)
