About to give up

I have tried just about everything to no aval. I am prety much at the end of my rope. I have been trying to play this dang game for about 8 hours now and I am geting prety heated at the endless failure.

I have tried un and reinstalling the game 4 times, deleting LiveServer and leting the game reinstall it itself, Restarting my computer, My firewall is completly off, I am useing windows XP, Tried to play the game useing both the regular RagnumOnline and RagnumOnlineOld Icons, and still I have only managed to get past my 5 hours of the game loading and disapering OVER AND OVER again. If this is how the hard it is to get into the game I don't even want to imagine how bad it is inside. But that is a bridge I will cross when I come to it. So someone PLEASE help me befor I go crazy!!!

The problem I keep haveing now is I can't establish a connection to the server. Please someone help me. Everyone feel free to post everthing you know about how to fix this problem.

seems to be firewall related issues, turn it off, and see what happens when you try again.

look at your network connection, then look here http://whatismyip.org/ and see if the ips match, if they don't match your most likely behind a router ;)

Who administers to your network? You might need to have some ports forwarded to your computer since they may have blocked it by default.

It depends on your router. Your router is most likely what you think is your modem. The answer to your question lies in the user manual.

First find out, what Subnet ip you have (something like 192.168.x.x)

usually the router has the ip xxx.xxx.xxx.1, just look what your dnsserver/gateway is set to. If you run windows, run a cmd and type: ipconfig. Most of the routers have a web interface, so try out entering the ip of your router in your webbrowser. Tada, there you are, this is the config panel of your router.

Hi! If it helps somehow, here I leave you ports that should be forwarded to your PC in your Router:

If you're running a software firewall, turn it off and try again. If that doesn't work, trying uninstalling it. I've seen situations where ZoneAlarm will block something you don't want, even if you turn it off. Uninstalling it is the only way to fix it. If that doesn't fix Regnum, remember to re-install it and turn it back on.

My router and modem are one unit. Speedstream router/modem wired and wireless. Try shutting it off for 30 seconds then restarting it. If you've spent 8 hours trying to get this game running, I sincerely hope you like end up liking it.

if you're doing start -> run and entering "ipconfig" it is probably closing the cmd window as soon as the command is done running. That's why you do start -> run and enter "cmd", then type "ipconfig" in the window that comes up and hit enter :)

(I'm actually loading a pirated copy of windows in qemu to test this right now)

Confirmed, this is the behaviour you'll get if you start -> run the command. Do as I said to :P

I don't think I am behind anything anymore because I am able to access the Experamental server. So if anyone knows of anything I can do so that I can also access the General server I would be REALY greatful. And by the way. I am going to Jump ahead and ask what city wants me? I am HIGHLY into rpgs and I am a huge gamer. So if someone is in a Jam for either people or good players. I'm your man.
