is the rumor i heard that alot of players are switching to the game fury true
i mean there is like no one left
today we had to defend aggers fort and called for reinforcements on alsius chat
ignis was many and we had less then half their numbers show to help
if we all wernt saved at pinos save we would of never took the fort back

I don't even know where this came from, for a long time Alsuis was #1 and Ignis was #3, its pretty shocking because it came out of nowhere. Once some players left, more abandon, it becomes a lost cause, but even until now, Alsuis is holding stong, The strong become the stronger.

Sometimes i know how the people who left feel.
Here are some of the things that frustrate me about being in Alsius:
. Players not using their skills to help others. For example, on several occasions conjurors have ran right passed me as i kneal on the road to Aggersborg when there is a fight there. It is not difficult to see that i am low health. So i continue to sit out the fight while our already small numbers struggle to take the fort. I have heard many people complain about the same thing.
. People not helping in skirmishes. Example: enemy hunting parties attacking lvlers in Pozo. I rush over to help, but players stand by and watch me die from the enemies who were trying to kill them. Example: yesterday, an Alsiun knight was being attacked by an enemy barb at pinos save. I rushed in and took major dmg while the knight ran off with almost full health. Yes, this actually happened!!! I only survived by going invisible.
. Serial complainers. There are a few of these in Alsius and every time i hear them i have half a mind to log off, coz i just don't want to hear it. It happens a lot at Aggersborg when we have small numbers and goes something like this: "Everyone, do this my way! Oh they aren't listening! I won't be part of this." So off they trot and leave us to struggle without them. Tho i do find it funny when we take back the fort a few minutes later without their help and their whineing.
. "Old Pro" aloofness. This is common. I have experienced it myself and have watched others experience it. You say hello to an "old pro" and he blanks you. You ask an "old pro" a question and he either blanks you, gives a laconic and unhelpful reply, or just says, "je je". You make a suggestion to an "old pro" and he says something like, " ah what a noob." or " you have no idea how to play this game." A minority of experienced Alsiun players have this unhelpful attitude. Having said this, there are some excellent and very friendly old timers.
Maybe these things exist in all realms. But i think it most important that it happens as little as possible in Alsius because of our smaller numbers. More than any other realm we need to pull together and help each other as much as possible.
My aim in this post is not to offend anyone, nor is it merely to complain. I wanted to say things as i see them and hopefully help to remedy some of these problems.
Because i genuinely believe that Alsius is the best side when it gets an army together and works in a co-operative way. We just need to do this more often.

This is not just an Alsius problem, its the same in Syrtis (ofc, i know a lot of conjurer that do a very good job, but many just dont)

Hmm, were usually overrun very fast if we come to pozo and try to hold the ramp...

Yeah this is even a problem, sometime we hunt in the pozo we're 3-4 and 15 alsius come... Come on, where's the challenge? If we wait for you in the Pozo it's to have decent parties showing up, max 5 lv 50, show a little respect to your enemies! :D I really hate the zerg rush :p. (though yesterday we were 7 and killed 13+pets coming from all angles without a death in our side... then 18 came :rale: )
And about yesterday at Pines... It's easy to say that because you were overpowered. May I remind you that you were twice as many as us when you broke the gate, and we managed to push you back killing you all (may I say, using Alsius area style? :P). That Syrtis came 4 times and the 4 times we got rid of them without losing the fort to you (even if a few times we backstabbed you both when you were fighting :p). That we were at Pines maybe 2 and half hours, including 2 hours with a broken gate... Then reinforcements came and did the zerg rush... I even think we were more efficient before the reinforcements came.... Anyway it was pure ownage and it wasn't only Alsius sucking (except a few of your warriors who really rush without any thinking and play head or tails "will I survive?", Imho using the Altar that much sucks a bit, Glacihus keeps coming in from behind using Dizziness and casting the same area stun .. then dies.. Did it like 10 times, no skill in that..), it was Ignis brilliant teamwork and awesome conjus (especially one of them I won't name or you might target him first :P).
I agree with Wudy - which is why I mostly hunt. I will trot off to fort wars when the group is right. HOWEVER! When I see an alsiun in need I'm always haulin-arse to help. It upsets me to see others stand by watching yelling "noobs". But - oh well - whether it be 2 vs 20 I'll still die helping the "caller for help".

True Solarus, I wont ever give up only cause we are outnumbered.
I don't care about giving away RP, but about the glory of our realm.
And also, I always try to help people if I aint in a fort war or hunting.

It's true that there are many people from Alsius who don't play anymore.(Morph, if you read this, please come back!). This is sad because we can use strategies and help each other. Yesterday we pushed the reds back into pinos by using the tree. At the end we defeated a red and a green army.
Dky is, by the way, not gone. I discovered I prefer fort wars above hunts and I'm training a knight now(Dky Sven). I expect to be back in fort wars in 2 weeks.

Maxim The Mad to the rescue !!!
As many of you already know I came to aid Alsuis as they have a very low number of active players and I have much respect for them and always had.
However I disagree with some of the things said in this thread.
When I needed help in a LOT of quests I got it fast, and by the amount of questions I've asked if I were the helper I would have killed myself ;) , but they helped me a lot.
There are many English players at Alsuis a LOT more (in %) then in Ignis, therfore the communication should be better in the wz.
But as I still not in the wz I can't comment about people who ran away and not help other players (I must also say that in Ignis I we also have many conjs that don't help people that they do not know or that doesn't speak "holas").
Meet you at the war zone soon... I'm level 34 now...;)

i would just add if someone asks something in chat answer them for u not know what lvl they r, something that might seem like dumb question to some is a good question to others

It's not 2 different Spanish LOL !
It's a Spanish and a Portuguese , 2 different languages :D
Like Chinese and Japanese , they might seem the same language to you but they can't understand each other.
It's not like American English and British.

I am very happy to be in the Alsius realm. I don't know what people you mean that have left Alsius. I only know of one person who did that (in a very high-profile "they-all-picked-on-me" fashion), but that was months ago. Honestly I think our realm got a lot more peaceful after that person left. But one person being very vocal and dramatic about it might seem like more.
Anyway, I've seen some random rudeness and stupidness from time to time, but that's just normal. Yesterday I saw a knight being attacked by a couple of Syrtis. I ran up, cast heal/regen/heal/buff/buff on him... then he just ran off and left me to die. But most people I've played with are not like that, and chances are that was his first time in the war zone and he panicked. I'm sure there are jerks in every realm, and also saints and heroes in every realm. We just have to be forgiving.
I've also seen my share of great teamwork, good sportsmanship, helpfulness with new players, and people complimenting each other.
Know what I think the problem is? You know the old saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." And you know how much goats love grass. ;)

Got my interest. Is there an area of South America that speaks Portugese or are there just a lot of players from Portugal? Also I don't think the language barrier is an overwhelming problem in this game. From what I've seen there are many people that are bilingual, many that have some communication skills in other languages, and most of the remaining seem to be making an effort to understand at least the most common in-game words and phrases. Raisin pie for everyone that makes an effort.

Of course there is a zone in South America where people speaks portuguese, its called Brazil http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazil and man is really big to not find it or dont know about it.
And there is two types of Spanish, in Spain we talk a lot different than in South America, just like you said its like the difference between british and american english.
That really reminded me this video http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=gmEp97yQcRQ

There are also differences between South American spanish (eg between Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina, "listo" doesn't have the same meaning) and then there is a Catalan speaking community in Regnum too.

I don't know Spanish not Portuguese but you have to know the most common words like :
Vida (life) , mana (mana) , moscota (pet), loco (insane) and the connective word "la".
therefore if you are a Hunter and your pet needs healing you could ask :
"Vida la moscota !"
or "greena de loco !"

Yeah. I know where Brazil is. I'm Canadian. We get a lot of good product from there and that little country to the northwest. :sifflote:
What I didn't know was they spoke Portugese. I thought they spoke Spanish.
The video was awesome. Really educatioal. I didn't know there were kangaroos in North Korea. We have a guy here in Canada who's asked a few questions himself. If I can find some footage I'll link it for you.
Edit: I found it. This is classic material. Hope the American players don't get all pissed off at me.
