Hi I just found this game and am dowloading it now and as I wait I've been looking around the site and found the character page and now am trying to decide what I want to be. Right now I am stuck between archer and warrior, what are the pro's and con's of them? It seems many people choose to be warriors, I'm just wanting to hear imput on both. Thanks!

Archers: Long ranged attackers...they have the longest range in the game. Up to 39 meters with parabolic shot + rng 30 longbow...You can choose between Hunter or Marksman. Hunters can turn invisible, run really fast and track enemies and allies. Marksmen do tons of damage, the offensive hunter class, they're very deadly.
Warriors: Short ranged, have the highest hp, best base attack and a few good skills as well. Knights are the defensive class, can block attacks, people do very little damage to them but they use 1 handed weapons and currently people say they suck. Barbs are the 2 handed warriors, tons of base attack, can kill any enemy in a few seconds(other than knights or maybe archers).

Awesome thanks for the quick reply! I'm usually an archer in mmorpgs but i wasn't sure. I guess what I'm wondering now is between hunter and marksman. By the sounds of it is that hunters arent very strong (powerful, hit hard, etc.) is that true or is that wrong?

hunters are defined as a defensive character and their main feature is tracking. They have pets which pretty much do most damage, but yes that can hit pretty hard too. (I'm quite sure that in 5 minutes someone going to come in and abuse me for this definition of hunters)
Marksmen are pretty much offense so I would say they have harder hits and they have the damage.
So if your looking on a powerful view I would say Marksmen have that over hunters but hunters are a fantastic class.
*blocks her ears for the abuse that may come*

To supplement what others have said, hunters are good at hunts (obviously) while marks are far more effective at fort wars. Hunters can survive very well alone out in the warzone while marksmen have trouble staying alive if they're out alone.
I'm not gonna abuse Kae for saying that hunters are a defensive class, but I'd argue that the definition isn't accurate :P. Hunters are just as an offensive class as a marks, it's just that they are more suited to guerilla warfare style of fighting when out alone. In groups, they are really support classes because they provide intel on enemy movement. Knights and Conjurers can be called defensive classes more accurately, although I would refer to Conjurers as a Support class more than a Defensive class.
If anyone wants to disagree with me, just say so but I'd rather not argue and deviate this thread anymore further xD

I always tell new players with the same questions to go here (http://www.regnumzg.com.ar/index.php?option=com_rzgskillsinfo&Itemid=38) . You can see what each class and subclass will eventually be capable of.
