Well, maybe a bit more than few, but here goes:

After reading this: http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=15506

I wondered: How does your weapon affect your spellcasting speed/rate? Are there any other such 'tricks' that I should/can be aware of? :p

Long Bows: Is it more effective to use a long bow with medium fire rate and medium damage, or a slow long bow with high damage?

What does this ring do and how does it work?

What do the names +++Epico+++, ++Legendario++ and Lider that I spotted under a few mobs mean? (a dragon, some beetle, some big stone golem, and some yellow ghost in syrtis) Well, the first two, I can guess :P The Lider thing though? What does that mean? and are these creatures part of any quest? (I really hope so :p)

Are there any others besides these 4 that I missed? Or is that the sort of question that "If you have to ask, you are not entitled to know" ? :P

Is it true that uthgars came to existence when alsius dwarves mated with goats?

Is '/reset_powers' ever gonna go away? (I sure hope not)

What other ximerin items are there available besides the ones listed in the official site? (I've heard about ximerin bows, is there a list of these other items somewhere?)

How much does premium content affect the gameplay in warzone? do ximerin users have an advantage over normal users? I've read that officially, it shouldn't be so, but some ppl say otherwise.

Where does the game perform better? (ie, where are the graphics better, where does it crash less, stuff like that). Win+DirectX, Win+OpenGL or Linux?

Is it true that Ignis actually means homosexual?

What is there for players to do once they reach level 50 besides pwning in the wz? At which level is the last quest?

How bad is it for level 30-35's in the wz?

Answer as many as you can, I'd really be thankful :)

Perfectionists or players who like to optimise their damage tend to switch between a more powerful weapon to a faster weapon to take advantage of the characteristics of both weapons. For example, casting lethal strike using a slow longbow would do more damage than a fast shortbow. Using the quickbar, they can change to a quicker shortbow to release the next spell slightly sooner. A faster weapon means you can cast more spells inside a short space of time rather than a slow weapon.

Long Bows: Is it more effective to use a long bow with medium fire rate and medium damage, or a slow long bow with high damage?

Slower longbow tends to do more damage than the medium one. So they more or less balance out. See above explanation to as how each has advantages/disadvantages over each other. Also, do note that certain type of longbows have better hit chance/power over others but will be disadvantaged in other areas (material affects this too, but I'm talking about the type, i.e. projection, impale, etc).

It adds the stated amount of slashing damage to your base attack.

They are Champion MOBs, you can try killing 'em and hope that they drop something good. Liders are quest mobs, they don't drop anything apart from quest items if they do drop anything at all.

Are there any others besides these 4 that I missed? Or is that the sort of question that "If you have to ask, you are not entitled to know" ? :P

You'll have to be more specific I guess.

Is it true that uthgars came to existence when alsius dwarves mated with goats?

I wouldn't ask if I were you.

Is '/reset_powers' ever gonna go away? (I sure hope not)

If it ever does I'm sure we can all adapt. We'll just have to hope for the best.

What other ximerin items are there available besides the ones listed in the official site? (I've heard about ximerin bows, is there a list of these other items somewhere?)

Xymerald bows aren't premium items like the ones listed on the site. So far, they're the only equipment that are xymerald based you can find in-game.

How much does premium content affect the gameplay in warzone? do ximerin users have an advantage over normal users? I've read that officially, it shouldn't be so, but some ppl say otherwise.

The one that sparks controversy the most are usage of horses in the wz. Search the forums a bit to see past threads related to it.

Depends. I get better graphics and faster fps using D3D on WinXP sp2. Others experience otherwise.

Is it true that Ignis actually means homosexual?

I thought that was Syrtis. Ask Pizd :P

What is there for players to do once they reach level 50 besides pwning in the wz? At which level is the last quest?

They hang around saves (or enemy saves). Sometimes they go out to farm for gold/drops. At the moment it seems that the last quest is around lvl40-41, depending on which realm you're in.

How bad is it for level 30-35's in the wz?

Quite tough, but you can survive if you're sensible.

Answer as many as you can, I'd really be thankful :)
No problem.

Wow, thanks a lot amade for taking the time!

So, it's xymerALD bows, not ximerIN bows. Hm so i guess they are just 2 different things, not related at all, right?

Also, I would like a few more opinions, and what do people tend to use, as far as medium/medium vs slow/high longbows goes.

Thanks again, amade! I'll try that weapon-switching thing myself sometime.

"Xymerin" bows don't exist at all, though most people use the either of the two terms to refer to the Xymerald bow. Spelling is optional :P

As for my opinion, I'm a laid back marksman. I use a slow 30 longbow for its higher base damage and pretty much don't mind the slow speed in fort wars. During small skirmishes/hunts I'd change to a medium 30 longbow (if I remember to at all).

Always try to wear the best armor and weapons that you can, and have a build specifically suited to PvP or RvR.

Ok, this raises another question: What are the key attributes to weapons/armor that make them good/bad for PvP/RvR?

When your damage is greatly enhanced by spell buffs you'll want a medium or fast bow--and this is the same for all classes especially Mages. If you're getting alot of extra damage from spells(that are not weapon damage based, but add fixed bonuses like +20), then you're better off not using a slow bow.

Slow weapons are best used with spells that are based upon weapon damage e.g Weapon damage +100%.

More damage per hit does however seem to be better at piercing through armor. I've noticed this especially on my Barbarian--with a very slow weapon I am able to kill mobs approximately 8 or 9 levels above me, whereas I hardly do any damage at all with a medium speed weapon. Results may vary.

uh oh... So i got to think about it? Damn, I kinda hoped it would be a hands down kind of answer :p

So let me see if I get this correctly: Since I am a Marksman, and I use a lot of spells, and these spell are mostly of the effect "Weapon Damage +XX%", I'd better use a slow long bow? But then again, if I use a lot of spells, shouldn't I use a fast long bow to get more spells casted?

But then again, from what I have seen, spells get casted between normal shots, so if I want to cast shield piercing, I don't have to wait till the next shot is to be fired, it's fired when I cast it...

I'm still kinda confused on this one.

Highly doubtful. Most of the game is actually designed around the ability to reset powers--because NGD has designed it so that there is no perfect bulid nor would permanent builds fit the gameplay, and would just cause more harm than good in most cases I think. If anything, this will probably be replaced with some in-game facility like a reset button.

It's possible that NGD might do away with it anyway, and implement a premium based item that allows you to reset or partially reset your skills (I've seen a few games with this feature).

As for weapon speed, particularly bows, I noticed that many longbow users default to medium speed (for general purpose usage), and only change to a slow, higher damage bow when they want to make use of those Weapon damage +1xx%. Casting spells quicker seems to be more favoured than having a higher base damage.

But then again, from what I have seen, spells get casted between normal shots, so if I want to cast shield piercing, I don't have to wait till the next shot is to be fired, it's fired when I cast it...

There's another thing you should know about casting spells. It's called piggybacking. As soon as you release your normal shot you can instantly start casting a spell. The duration for the next normal shot will be reseted. So If you cast a spell too late after the last shot e.g. weapons speed is 2.5 sec, and you cast a spell 2 seconds after the last shot, your next normal shot will come out another 2.5 seconds after you've casted the spell and your next spell will be directly delayed as well. Pay attention to your normal shots, and cast spells as soon as your normal attack animation starts. It's also possible to cast a spell before the next normal shot is released by casting the spell as soon as your next shooting window opens, but this in effect cancels your normal shot so the extra damage you can do will be wasted. In time you'll get the hang of getting it timed right and it becomes part of your subconscious.

It's a matter of preferance, what makes you feel comfortable when it comes to the Bows you use. Some archers use the medium speed long bows for leveling, and the slower ones for wars, or the exact opposite. Just depends, but most, as myself, carry 1 slow, and 1 medium. Some also carry 1 long, and 1 short, as spells vary depending on the bow type. That is something each person needs to find out while leveling / questing, you will notice some quests will net you a new long bow, while others will net you a new short bow, my suggestion ..... go with the quest item, and just try it .. see for yourself which 1 you prefer. Personally, I prefer the long bow, it's just comfortable. As a hunter using a pet, I use a medium speed bow for leveling, as I have an extra hand dealing damage in my pet. Fort wars, where the pet is virtually worthless, I use the slower, more damaging bow ...... hope that helps some .... enjoy the game.
