Lately, there has been an increase in lag and crashes for everyone, so there's a high likelyhood that he crashed innocently.

LOL you know he was crashing volountary 5 months ago in forts (using sanctuary), he was crashing 3 months ago near pb, so i doubt that he suddenly changed in nice and sweet player.
I know, he could crash normaly this time and probably he realy did.

IF YOU CRASH ACCIDENTALLY YOUR CHARACTER WILL STAY FOR 30 SECONDS.

If he disappears immediately it means he crashed on purpose, or died and resurrected very fast.

There is no disputing this. Stop saying the person crashed accidentally if they poofed away instantly.
(Which he did, with nearly half health left - I was there.)
