I want to include the spanish speaking people when I have Ideas...
They count just as much as the english speakers... I'm sure that they can translate the webpage just like i translate to read theirs.... I posted with google translator and most of my meanings were lost... SO I will let them translate... I feel that their opinions are very very important... that is all... I am not trying to break any rules of the forums.
Mind you, we have problem with updates and many angry people because things are being talked about in spanish forums that are not being talked about in english forums, so when a change happens everyone in the english forums are pissed off and wondering why... The change happens before we have even had our say about it on forums. I know how much it bothers the english comminity, so I do not want the same to happen in the spanish community... Also I check their posted responses to my posts to see what they feel about it.
**Last time i used a translator i got 10 pms telling me to post it in english and they would translate it.

DM, bro, I said this once and I'll say it again. FUCK THEM - FUCK THEM all.

Your talent of finding bugs is wasted on this pos game bro. Why don't you put your energy where it matters, like an open source project such as linux.

You got the dev's of the pos game giving you shit. You got most of the players thinking you a hacker (which we know isn't true) - why the fuck do you bother?

FUCK THEM! FUCK THEM! FUCK THEM!

I can see your getting to the point man that soon you will walk away, only time my friend.

And when that happens I hope you will bring your talent to finding bugs to the linux community.

I said my peace, so FUCK RO and FUCK its community.

Let this POS game die!

Just so others know, so you don't get out the gasoline, torches and pitchforks, my post was sarcastic in nature.

Though, DM and I have had conversations about his bug finding ability and how he can use that skill to benefit linux.

Truth is, DM is very passionate about RO and would like to see it become a success, which is ironic given all the flack he gets about him being a hacker, exploiter - ruiner of RO.

Oh and Sup, DM? Sorry for attempting to hijack your thread bro :angel1:.

he doesn't have to like all the noobs calling him a hacker to like the game ;) but the above I quoted that he's passionate about RO should be pretty obvious by now

Although I don't "support" Dmc I have respect for the bug finding skills, but your behaviour is far from being mature.

Behavior? When does witting text become behavior?

LOL, such a statement coming from someone that calls himself the "grand puppeteer".

You know besides your public display to ego stroking (grand puppeteer) they say that judging people over comments, left on internet, that has nothing to do with you is a sign of two things:

(1) It stems from a need to show that one's e-peen is larger then the other's.
And (2) it stems from the consistent need for ego stroking.

You know, grand puppeteer, your so called "behavior" is hardly a model for maturity.

Besides my statement was written towards DM and DM only.

So perhaps you should stfu, eh grand puppeteer?

You know I wish the average person playing RO wasn't 5.

However, his comment towards me was hardly a sign of respect, especially after I posted a second comment explaining the context of why I posted such a statement to begin with.

If he had stated instead that I should have made my original comment in PM I would have agreed with him.

However, since he was so willing to throw stones - I needed to remind him that he sits in a glass house.

John L. Austin in How to Do Things with Words explains it pretty well.

The forum rules state perfectly that you may not insult players, either using slang, images, phrases or any transformation of this words/images. Reported.

You know since I majored in sociology and psychology I know much about speech acts.

However, claiming that somehow "stfu" is a speech act is to totally misusing the meaning of what a speech act is.

Speech acts are about racism, sexism and the like.

But there is little hope that people, not grounded in theory, could understand fully what it means, and thus misuse it for any little thing.

As you majored in psychology, your area focuses on what I quoted from you, but the meaning of speech acts is broader than this. AFAIK, everything that you say implies a speech act (which can be more evident or noticeable in some cases) because you speak to "say something", hence, "doing something".

Let me take a look to my notes first. Anyway, this isn't the topic of the thread and I recommend you to keep discussing this by pm, it's interesting to me.

This in some ways falls into the the tradition symbolic-interactionism in sociology.

However, your interpretation of speech acts seems to stem from philosophy, which looks at things in large generalities. The main problem with philosophy is that it's hard for philosophers to apply their generalities to real life situations and human behavior.

Thus, the need for science, test, retest and find where ideas, such as these, fit into our social institutions/consciousness and what their consequences are (how they impact social relations).

Social sciences have used speech acts as the basis to understanding social status, race relations/sex relations in terms of power and mobility.

However, if you are going to claim that I was in the wrong you have to first find out how I perceive aardvak2669's comment towards me. And to note I took it as a statement of disrespect.

So to claim that I am in the wrong and then to pursue a coarse punishment towards me is quite unethical isn't Xephandor?

Sorry, but why the use of profanity? Here you go:

That should help you increase your vocabulary enough so that you DO NOT need profanity to colorfully describe your words.

Good luck

Sorry then, I wanted to clarify my point of view. I didn't mean to be disrespectful, just to make you notice that there's more than one interpretation of the speech acts.

So to claim that I am in the wrong and then to pursue a coarse punishment towards me is quite unethical isn't Xephandor?

You were right, but not completely. I think you were missing the "big picture".
Regarding to ethics, I just try to follow the forum rules (btw, you were breaking them). That's the only part where you were wrong, breaking the rules.
