Is it just me or is Ignis the underdog now?

This just hit me when Kim made that comment today and I have been thinking the exact same thing.

I have been mostly only on hunts lately cause anything that involves more than 15 people on my screen lag-freezes me to death, and I must say - hunting in Alsius is far more deadly than Ignis, and generally Alsius seems to have more better players than Ignis. Maybe it's just that I don't do fort wars anymore.

I remember when you couldn't even cross PB and be alone, you'd meet a large tomato fest in a sec - now I can usually march all the way to samal alone. And PB2 is just... well, it's probably safer than inner realm.

PP *and* PP2 on the other hand seem to be the most dangerous bridges by far these days, and each time I play I'm definitely gonna hear at least 3 times a play about goats at save. Goats at the syrtis central save. That used to be a joke :p

Looks like being the underdog for some time really toughens a realm. Maybe after a while Ignis and Alsius will own so much that Syrtis will have to start using tactics! (did he just say the T word for Syrtis? yes, yes he did!)

PS: Hunting is SO much more fun than fort wars. Well, with the right people it is ;) Not to mention the rp... I never remember getting 200+ rp from a fort war, hunts will get you that easily.

i think it depends on what time your on and where you hunt really. i notice alsius do seem alot harder tho but thats not to say ignis still aint deadly
also what do you mean syrtis has no tactics we have tactics sit their screaming wait being ignored beeing killed because they didnt listen then repeat until we have enough people that we just outnumber them so much that they have no chance

I wouldn't really think Ignis is the underdog though, they can still whipe out people hunting in their realm, and I saw them do so 3 times today.

Yes and no :D Alsius is to small for me. Places where you can hunt there are not deadly, but they have nice cooperation. Yes they have a lot of great players :| but imo pp2 is safe as it was since Algaros days passed away.

And pb2 is not safe at all. Ask anyone lvling near efarias or beach save... but on the other hand i do not know better place to hunt than swamps and beach swamps-shaanarid :>

In all the time I've been in the Warzone I've never seen Syrtis using much tactics. Syrtis == bad. But because we're with so many we usually win eventually. Ignis is suffering a lot of the exodus of high levelled people I think. Alsius isn't always good, but when they're good, they're really good. Syrtis should put permanent guards at pp, because when I'm near I almost constantly track enemies, mostly lone people entering Syrtis for a hunt or training.
PB is really easy wiped out these days, earlier it was much and much harder. And it isn't Syrtis that has become better.

I will say only one simple thing that is the beggining of every realm's attitude.

Syrtis: Used to their large population think that 10 or 15 are not enough for a fort war.

Ignis: No matter what number they are, they love messing with other ones wars (similar to Alsius)

Alsius: 5, 10, 15 any number is good to take Herbred! And there you learn, when you are small numbers everyone has to play great. If you are a lot, you just have to press some buttons and enemy is dead. That's what happens to Syrtis.

It seems the last couple times I went int Ignis solo. I was killed sooner or later by a hunter from Alsius.

We've had alot of people note it in the Ignis forums as of the past month. I think Ignis always has sucked in fort wars.

I think too many people felt sorry for "lil ol Alsuis" and their "population problem" - Population or no population, Alsuis is still skilled, they understand enemy strategy and they know what they have to do.

Ignis has a decent amount of players ill say, for sure the realm with most level 50's. What's the problem? Lazyness, lack of support, no one gives a rat's ass of late.

No one seems to try to use strategtic methods. We practically feed RP to our enemy, I saw some Syrtis barbarian running around our Oasis save the other day. And the same noob from Ignis about lvl 32 kept running up to the player trying to kill him, I told him to lay off because he's feeding the enemy RP, he died about 6 times to the barbarian, a RP total of about 60+ added to Syrtis charts.

Stuff like that really ticks me off, to my suprise, when I try to help my realmmates, some of them seem to be SICK of my help, and to my suprise actually start yelling at me. I see racism coming from new players (not only on the English side)

Seems to me like now in Ignis you do it by yourself or don't do it at all. Thankfully I have a wonderful clan and thats not the case with me.

I am actually English and as for racism i get a HELL of a lot from the non english speaking players ie: stupid yankee, gringo etc.

Ive never insulted anyone here and another thing i noticed, as an experiment due to comments made by female players, i made a female character.

Whats worse than the racism is the sexist attitude of a lot of players

Anyway, i didnt notice a overall decrease in Ignis skill. At least we slaughter a lot of Syrtis until they gather so many players that they simply roll over.
And Syrtis is doing worst at war in all regards, of course they have awsome players too, but its mainly quantity


And i cant comment on the hunting situation as i dont go hunting at all.
I cant see the thrill in finishing halfdead people while they level.
Of course its rewarding as you get lots of rp but somehow i still manage to get my share of rp while i do whats most fun for me -> fortwars ;)

I encourage the use of programs like Mumble and Teamspeak now, because they help, but that is really a choice of players.

It seems to me playing style hasn't changed, we have just lost that spirit. Facing Syrtis we can't hold back the steam for long, even when we're on our own front.

But Twix, you have to know by now that classes seem to be split in who goes hunting and who goes to fort wars. It also splits depending on the player. For instance I know my biggest problem in a fort war is that I usually find myself the only one charging. I even try to tell other warriors to charge synchronized, but everyone seems to go..... unorderly?

I think realationship between players from Ignis needs to be repaired. As ive seen before everyone knows everyone, we just need people to step up.

Ignis has lots of great players. You should go take any fort with a low number, be suicide... there you learn. You haven't got to fear to be stupid...

Best war-training attacks are: Taking Herbred with 6 people when there isn't a lot of people on. Each one of a different sub-class. First times you will die in horrible deaths, but you will become better, specially in teamplay.

You will last the same time as the fort door does, but surprises may come...

see this is exactly what i ment by hippys but let me refraze it i remeber as a noob lisening to syrtis chat about goats getting out numbered now they are way higher lvls and besides lowest numbers whup ass, now ignis since back then alsius wasnt much nobody went to war with them so they leveled leaving the elvs killing eachother so there was constanly ppl at PB but ppl got sick of it and alot of noobs coming into warzone making ignis the perfect place to hunt while in alsius kill 3 ppl 5min they get your realm's fort while in SYRTIS when an army of goats invade the save nobudy does anything thats what pisses me of that syrtis is going to be the most pathetic underdog so far, ignis and alsius's case is understandable but 50 at syrtis save 3 goats go in there kill 15ppl and get away with because now in syrtis when you get killed 50m from save you finish your mob up instead of fighting and no one realy cares about algaros! it got the perfect terein to protect it those midjets got a big hill to climb giving us extra time but no one ever goes there we got 11 ppl trying to get algaros back while 100 stupid elvs are dying because alsius advanced to the save and get away with it along with a million RP its pathetic how no one realy cares and very vew care thats why im glad noobs are coming to warzone because a lvl 25 kills more than a lvl 30 simply by not chating around the save all day and thats what my friend told me is gonna make the underdog thing go from ignis to syrtis. most pathetic thing i ever heard :closed1:

I think Syrtis has done good retaliation against these certain invasions, I'd confirm, syrtis would really bring a million to do so. Syrtis has a better advantage than of Alsius.

Well ive been visiting herb save lately...we didnt camp once it was pvp and other 2 times we chased 1 guy there and 10syrtis attacked us.hope you guys didnt think of that as camping.:biggrin:

Well actually less than 1/3 of hunting kills are lvlers - sometimes we even let them go.

Most of the time it's lots of people rushing in thin lines to reinforce some fort battle, and it's too much fun to pick them off one by one, knowing than no-one will ever notice cause we dropped him so fast the next guy wasn't within view yet. It's really nice to choke that pipe of reinforcements, sometimes it's more effective than the actual battle at the fort :p

The other big part of our hunting kills is other hunting parties and man, that's a thrill. Having a hunter telling you you are being chased, setting up ambushes or trying to get on their backs...

The best part of all of course is the coordination and teamwork - And that's usually present when I go hunting with clanmembers. We're destroying :p

Syrtis needs to learn what tactics are, how and when to use them and to recognize that you should run in a thin line to pinos when Alsius is attacking you at your left flank from the pines wood. Ignis completely depends on their high level players, if the lvl 50s wouldn't come to a battle Ignis would be horribly lost. Maybe they should for a while to give the lower levels the opportunity to learn to fight good instead of winning by using the firepower hihg levels have more than the lower levels. And Syrtis has relatively less high levels than other realms. But maybe that has another cause, in Alsius you can get from 19 to 29 with just quests and they've got at higher level places(according to my brother) so they just become high level very fast compared to Syrtis.

Yea, even I want to comment that Stone save is in a horrible location, either Alsuis' bridge needs to be moved, or the save needs to be moved. In Ignis our Oasis save seems to be a good spot because we have some high/low land messing up the terrain there, in Syrtis its all flat, Alsuis has Algaros save right next to Pozo too so heh xD
