So what was in the update or rather,
what was added to the server?
That is a problem no update info. The last time this question was asked the answer was something like: "The updates we are doing now are not feature centric but related to stability and performance so it would be too techie to describe."
They should give some kind of change log. I don't think we need a detailed update. I would be happy with "patch to improve performance update notice" but what is really missing is the a bug fixed list. How are we to know if a bug was corrected or the DEVs thinks a bug is fixed but it is not. I think most here want to help but it is hard because the information is only going one way.
that my two cents.......

We agree on the updates, we are so busy with a lot of tasks that sometimes the updates slip.
We are putting one tomorrow on the website and in the future, we will probably have an employee taking care of that.

I hope the Linux client update will fix the login problem (if will be a Linux client update).
in the past few days I've been forced to play on winxp :(

The experimental server kind of works, except for the fact that it freezes up the computer.
I hope the Linux client update will fix the login problem (if will be a Linux client update).
in the past few days I've been forced to play on winxp
That's like a virtual crime.

What is being downloaded in the upper left-hand corner of the screen whenever I'm playing? I've played several MMO's, but I've never seen that in any other game.
Just curious. :)

that downloaded stuff you see could be the landscape/areas you enterand such things this quite normal in mmo's but not all show that

The game you download doesn't have all the images and textures and whatever else it needs when you download it. The games downloads it as it is needed so the first time you wear a certain armor set, you will download it.
An easy way to see this in action is to make a character in one realm, enter game (and do the downloads) and then delete that character and make one in another realm. You will download a few more things because of the environment changes.
