Ok, not everyone who hasn't played a conjurer in battle might understand this one. But most of you know (and I hope I'm not revealing some semi-secret to the greater masses that where ignorant of this fact before), while you cannot chat while dead, you can make chat requests.
I think most conjurers have noticed dead player wanting to chat with them. One or two are a little bit annoying, but when several (dead) players repeatedly want to chat with you, it's very hard to do your job, which is keeping the rest alive. I almost always reject these requests even thought it would be easier to accept them as there would be no repetitions, but I don't want to give anyone false hopes for a resurrection any time soon.
Why is that? Resurrection has a 2 minute cooldown, so I have to choose whom I resurrect. I will usually resurrect other conjus first, after that it depends on three things:
1. Level: I will rather resurrect a lvl 50 player than a, say, level 40 one. I'm sure everyone understands that.
2. How well I know that player. Don't misunderstand this, please. Of course I will resurrect clanmates before other players. But If I know that one person is good in battle, even if I never talked a word with them, I will resurrect them first.
3. What the situation of the battle is. I won't resurrect anyone if we are at another realm's fort and there are 20 people outside and 5 people inside. It's just plain useless. I might have done this a few times, but it was done to me a lot more often when I just wanted to watch the rest of the fight. I won't resurrect anyone dead at stone, the walk is just a minute or so, and chances great are that I can help a lot more with healing then resurrecting. I will wait for the conclusion of a battle out in the fields - if it seems to be a close match - before resurrecting for the same reasons.
To summarize: It's my choice whom I will resurrect and when, and I will try my best to choose wisely.
So, what do I want to say with this post? Please do not spam conjurers with resurrection requests, they usually are very busy to keep people alive and have cooldown anyway. What's more (only speaking for me here, not other conjus): If you died in plain sight, I normally know you died and where you died anyway, so there's no need to bother me with requests. If you died somewhere far off, you may chat me exactly once, (and I mean exactly once, I've started putting people on my ignore list for this) and if I have the time I might ask where you died and resurrect you, although you should not hope too much.
Now it's the time to thank some people. Thanks to Luca for apologizing after I complained about the f-ing spam at Samal earlier although he only chatted me once and I didn't really mean him. Thanks to Ohan for killing me while I wrote the text above. And thanks to El Chaman for resurrecting me
