I'm sure theres been a thread like this before, but... WEAPONS!

Which do you prefer to use, either as a knight, or a barbarian?

as a mid-level knight...blunt and pierce...blunt is great for mind squash and pierce resistance and piercing has balestra and ripost...although if i ever get to lvl50 ill use the slow axe too...:wiggle14:

Wow, fast response... So which of the three is your favorite? I think you voted when I had the fourth option, aka a combo, but the question is favorite.


Btw mine is pierce, because I like spears. :superpusso:

Blunt.. str bonus and huge damage, with some good powers to boot. Definitely best for leveling. When I hit 50 I may change my mind.

i use a combination of axe and spear i use the axe for south cross and the spear for balestra then i use the hammer branch for the dmg passive but i love hammers but really since crushing got messed up its not really a good weap unless you mix it with something

but seriously, i LIKED blunt the best, until thirst for blood got nerfed. now, i just can't decide. southcross is awesome, but then again, so is balestra + range.

off-topic: i not really sure what you guys are thinking with the passives. i did the math and for a barb, one point of strength only equates to about 3 points of base damage. seems like a waste of skillpoints to me....

Yeah but then you can't get AoO and other skills int he vanguard and shields branch...

And then there is trip in the tactics branch...

He means that they use 3 weapons for some spells in each disciplines. You don't necessarily max all three weapon disciplines. Maybe just one, but I know one very good knight who maxed Vanguard and Shields and raised the three weapons for the knock down/immobile spells and some basic damage spells.

yup thats the best possible war setup imo
good for allies and you can do decent dmg:thumb_up:

Hard to vote because i use all 3 and would'nt want to use only 1 weapon discipline. Blunt gets my vote anyway probably for squasher and jaw breaker.

Dmg is swords.

SC can hit twice as hard as Forceful Blow.

Typhoon hits harder than Thunder Strike.

But I don't like pure dmg, so I voted pierce...decent base attack and Balestra + Range.

Ripost's dmg is pretty good too, low mana cost and 100% chance of 160% dmg at lvl 5. And of course Lightning Strike, who could forget the spell which has a longer knockdown than terror :biggrin:?
