View Full Version : Conjurers Timing Mana

I just recently started playing a conjurer. When playing a support role in a party, sometimes it seems the mana bars for each player lags far behind the player's actual mana even with only two party memebers. As a result, sometimes I am not offering mana when it is needed and vice versa. However, other times (even in larger parties) there seems to be an immediate response when each player casts spells.
Do more experienced conjurers monitor the mana in the party window, just dole out mana on a schedule, count casted spells before dishing out mana, or what?
By the way, playing a conjurer is tons of fun so far. This is like a whole new game again...

Well if it was just me and another person I just counted spells...after awhile you feel out how much mana a particular person uses to kill things. In larger parties that becomes completely unmanageable and I always just told them to type "m" for mana.

Well, get to level 29 and get Mana Communion. Then you can stop worrying about this. It's almost impossible to support a larger party with Synergy Bond. In a small party you will have to estimate how much mana they use or rely on them to tell you when they need mana. I don't really remember what I did before Mana Communion, that was just too long ago.
EDIT: You can get Mana Communion at level 29, not 33.

I like the type "m" for mana. Rather than "MANA PLEAAAAAAAAAASSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And yes, I wonder why no one thought of making a spell guide. I can't since I'm a warlock and that's the only class I know how to play........ I didn't even memorise my spell's mana consumption.

Oh yeah, I forgot about ZG. Thanks.
I count spells. I only cast mana communion when we are more than 4 or so people facing an equal number of opponents. But Synergy Bond is still my main mana spell.

I happen to use Mana Communion often because I focus on Staff Mastery. In any ways, yes, Synergy Bond is more applicable if not with some friends.
