Playing this game is starting to be pointless. I demand official explanation on the main page whats going on with those lags. This is frustrating. Lagging disconnecting, engaging fight only to lag and get killed without the fight. Face it, this game is unplayable.

As much as I REALLY hate agreeing with Gigo, he's right. The lag is the biggest thing stopping this from being THE #1 Best Game On Planet Earth.
I have extremely high speed internet, but I still get an inconceivable amount of lag. There is no way I'm leaving, but I'm praying and hoping(I'd be begging but that would be rude) that NGD figures out what's going wrong and can find a feasible solution.

Amun already has a bandwidth fix, so that will be addressed when the new update hits. But I think the current lag everyone experiences is just the hardware being slow or broken (like that time when part of the cluster died).

you must work for general motors, united airlines or one of many other companies who treat their customers like shit and expect them to take it. They had the same attitude. Yep, I agree, I believe NGD has making all the neccessary efforts for development of the game...even with this lag, I actually have a bit of an improvement and I am a thousand miles away from the server.

Well actually i've bought some ximerin already, but it's not the point. I complain because _i like this game_ and i want to stay with it. I quit many games cause they were boring, and this one isn't. I just want to see if it is going to improve because then i can accept temporary inconviniences. But when you get killed two times in one hour because of lag(well i think they'd kill me anyway ;)), and not becuse i can't fight or was outnumbered its frustrating. I want fun, not frustration. And if they kill me cause they better, its fun too.

They are making stress tests on Amun, and just like today, new patch comes up every month or so, they are testing etc. This game won't drastically change in few months. It needs years of developing, like EVERY OTHER mmo out there. I don't want to be rude, but World of Warcraft being a commercial crap as it is, it is in neverending development as well, for 4 years now.
So, either play with patience and help to improve the game or don't play :)

Actually I ahve to admit I didn't read any of these lyrics because they are hard to understand for me. This means it is boring to read. You think they aren't responsible for lag? Listen, they are responsible for the game as a whole, because that is what people are paying for. Yes, I fully understand they are actually only buying items to augment their game play, but if they cannot use said items, due to unplayable circumstances, the end result is the same.

NGD holds a responsibility to every player to assure that the game is indeed playable. If they were in some sort of testing phase such as Alpha or beta, I would agree that people have no right to complain at all.

However, once they started accepting payments for in game items, they became liable, and thus are held accountable.

That includes, the game servers being up (except maintenance), that people can connect, that they have access to patches, and pertinent information they require in which to play the game, as well as a certain level of enjoyment (ie: being free from harassment, racism, etc). Not to mention a slew of other things.

The "Wannabe Mod" statement, was made not because you made a remark stating that was your wish, it was merely an observation on the way in which you conduct yourself on these forums. You act as if you are right about everything, and go about the forums on some power trip yay'ing or nay'ing each post as you see fit, judging them on some twisted sense of right and wrong.

The remarks about your intelligence are directed at your poorly articulated speech and grammar, the fact that you choose to use vulgarity to try to express yourself, instead of a more suitable and acceptable type of language. Look truth is hard to define, but whining will not get you there, nor will demanding that the NGD reverse their stance on games issues get you there - this is what caused me to start writing on these forms.

Now the hell hounds are a reference to demons of hell, which interestingly enough Signatus got right when he stated, "Just spare me from the other 69 'hell hounds'...". Which makes me wonder if he knew about them before or after he started talking with me here, hmmm?

However, if you were all as bright as Signatus I don't think I'd be having the problems that I am having with you now. But alas, we all have different degrees of perception; which accounts for why we don't see eye-to-eye on the issues here at hand.

There are so many loopholes in this idea that it's not even worthy to discuss. For example, how much lag is to much? How do we know the lag is a result from NGD action or inaction, but is a result from packets flowing in and out of the thing we call the 'net?

Understand what I'm saying. But still there is no requirement on NGD's part for they are not selling anything but in game items and not the game itself. So what that means if they decided to only allow the server up only one day a month you couldn't do a thing about it because you still have access to it once a month to use the in game items that you bought.

Well all other elements of my internet connection work fine, other games are fine and a basic trace show the issue isn't with the hops to them. Finally, they ADMITTED that it was on their end. Okay, attempting to drag this thread back on topic, hoping to quell the rampant tit-for-tat going on.

As much as I support small independant developers, and as much as I respect NGD, I have to agree that something about the current status of the game needs to be done. Even within the inner realms (as I don't hit the WZ much right now, trying to get my hunter up to pace) lag and other issues are, well, they leave a lot to be desired.

As vocal as we are as a community, I cannot help but think sometimes NGD listens to us a little too much these days, like they don't have trust or confidence in themselves as a team. Kinda like..."Too many chiefs and not enough indians" or...something like that at least. I mean, I hate to say it, but it's starting to look like they're having some kind of lack of direction. Or maybe they have bitten off more than they could chew? I don't know, but these past few months have been kinda harsh. Here's to hoping for normalcy.

Also, whatever happened to Niclaim? I thought he was supposed to be a liason of sorts between the english speakers and NGD? Who's our current go-to guy for trying to find out what's going on? I feel like a lot is being kept in the dark here.

Ok, one last attempt to show you the folly of your ways Hell.

You are under some misconception that the "lag" people complain about in game is directly related to their own personal internet connections. It is not. (Well not entirely in any case, I am sure a few people have crappy connections, but that's besides the point).

See, how the "net" works is basically like this:

Your Computer > Hop 1 to 10 for example > Whoever your trying to connect to.

It is a very simple thing to figure out if you are indeed causing the lag issues, you simply (in a windows environment in any case) do this:

Start > Run > CMD
tracert (ip address) and then you have the option of adding "switches" for various options.

This will basically follow and test your connection, from your computer, to each hop until it gets to the target ip address. Each hop is measured in MS (milliseconds) and lower is of course better.

Now, where you are connecting from, to where you are connecting to is of course an issue, however even people with pings as high as 300+ (ie: NA to Asia) can still play most games perfectly fine without feeling any "lag" issues at all, as long as the servers are properly configured and adequate resources are allocated to allow it to run smoothly for a specific number of people to use.

This is not the case in game, that is because it is due to a hardware issue on NGD's end, which is a server issue, which is very much their fault and their liability to maintain.

Which leads me to have to explain what lag is.

There are many forms of "lag", such as:

a) Video Lag (this would be the users issue with his own PC)
b) Net Congestion (this would be the users net having issues, ie: packet loss)
c) Server lag (this is NGD's issue atm)

Now, having said that. I will go on to elaborate.

If the server is having issues, such as having problems handling packets incoming from specific geographic locations (faulty router, DDOS attack, data center issue, etc), or loot generation tables are screwed up, or the server that spawns the mobs, or another misc. piece of hardware or anything of that nature. NGD is liable for it. These issues can create "lag" or what appears to be lag.

This is not something I am making up, look around at any online game free or not and you will see. Regardless, all free games always have some sort of business model, most free ones tend to use a cashshop. Some use advertising, or a combo of the two.

Either way, money is exchanging hands and thus they are held accountable. (Don't believe that they are accountable? I can give you 1 free to play game company right off the top of my head, that has been reported to the BBB for failure to maintain an expected level of enjoyment by numerous people and was almost shut down for it).

I have had this debate with countless people in countless games and every single time I am proven correct by the game company themselves. You don't have to take my word for it, go ahead and contact NGD yourself and ask them what they are liable for to their players. I assure you the answer they respond with will not be "nothing at all", or "Only cash shop items".

As for your replying to a quote saying that because people can login and use the items they purchased, lets NGD off the hook, you are mistaken. If the server lag is so horrible for the people buying items, that NGD is not maintaining a certain level of "enjoyment" in their game, in this case, due to restricting lag issues, then no, they cannot use the items to their full extent, example:

Bob the player buys an experience pot, he wants to go out and use it for the full hour, however due to crippling server issues, he only gets a small percentage of the usage time out of it.

Now is this bobs fault?, not in this case, because the server is having issues, that is why companies that run free models will generally offer things such as double xp/gold, or half off item mall items, etc to compensate players when they have server issues. This is not done out of the blue because they are nice (well, not always, sometimes they do hold events) this is done because they are liable to their customers who purchased items from them and were unable to use them properly for whatever reason.

As for the games status, as you can clearly see I have been around since 2006, I think I know what state the game is in at the moment. As I said, once they released the cash shop into the game, it ceased being in a testing phase (hence why they have a test server!).

I will refrain from any comments about anything else, so as to keep this on topic, however I will remark about one more thing:

Anyways, you are assuming that the problem stems from NGD. But my question is what if it isn't. You seem to entertain the idea that its solely NGD, for look how much you wrote to prove it, but not willing to consider other factors as well.

Yet out of all this you still haven't confronted the legal bases for why NGD is libel for the issue of lag, when the game is free.

I cannot believe that people go to these lengths to try and prove themselves.

The way justice or commerce works is not the same everywhere, but it's common that people thinks everything works the same way in every country. Culture, History, Politic system, etc have influence on social mechanisms that creates huge differences in every National system of laws and habits.

What could be interpreted as an awful customer service that could start a wave of complaints, in other country those complaints could be seen as an astonishing example of selfish attitude that don't try to understand the huge effort our provider is doing to provide something he's not really forced to give, even if it would mean the end of his businness.
