There are spells that increase "miss chance".
Barbarians have got one like this, but it seems like it's broken.

what is bugged on curse lvl 1 is only the spell focus I think, hit chance decrease is as it should be as far as I know.

I just looked in warlocks spells, blindness effects miss chance, 60 (% I guess) on lvl 5
but that still does not explains so many misses in a row.
Maybe blindness is messed up as well as curse.
What spells did you cast, Arkenion?

no, its simply +60 not %, cause you never "Miss" otherwise, so a +% wouldnt do anything.
I would add pertify hands to the messed-up list, cause i stopped hitting anything when it was casted on me lvl1.

spell focus seems to be messed up in general. We have spell focus rings in ignis which actually make you hit less spells

oh, in alsius we have spell focus rings too, ring of thw twin if I am not mistaken, it adds +4 spell focus. It works quite well with my hunter, even on impossible enemies spells are hitting quite often.
For this I suggested to add the attirbute spell focus in the character window. It would realy help to understand how the game works.
But yes, spell focus is messed up, try to use focus with a marksman...your spells won't hit more often, they will not hit more often, at least from my experince. Same I experinced with hit chance spells. But passive which increase spell focus or/and hit chance seems to work well for me.

Pff secret :P
Nono. Ok, I cast curse lvl5, blindness level 5 and petrify hands level 5.. But it could also be a bug with the monster, it did not work on giant tol-tars, only on those unchallenging (~lvl 43) gol-tars..
The actually interesting thing is: Only one of those spell increases MISS chance: blindness. But if I cast ONLY blindness, it didn't work like this...

The "old" wind wall at lvl 5 produced that kind of things... and with aquantis knights (lvl 52 if i remember well) Hopefully that spell worked only on PvE and against hunters' pet ^^
