View Full Version : Weapon Damage, Speed and Spells
Hi guys, I have a couple of questions revolving around weapons, so please bare with me :wiggle14:
Ok, firstly, what does the +(damage) number on weapons actually mean in reference to damage. As the damage range displayed will be the same as one of such without a +(damage) number.
How much +% attack speed in total would you need to go to the next weapon speed, or is there a limit? For example how much +% would you need to have a "Medium" weapon working at "Fast" weapons rate? And does that speed directly affect the rate at which you can fire off spells?
Ah also, (if not all) which items of clothing can possibly be found with a +% attack speed bonus?
Thanks in advance.

I guess +14 damage is just 14 damage....
The difference between weapon speed is 15% and it doesent directly effect casting time just the pause between 2 spells...
Nope, the difference between weapon attack speed is either 25% or 40%.

fast = 1,5sec (not realy sure about it, will do some tests to check it)
medium = 2,5sec
slow = 3,5sec
About very slow I don't know.
So it's impossible to have a weapon shooting at the faster attack speed? Based on item +% bonuses that is.

/me pets the lag
this is true though
Very Fast is 25% faster than Fast, I know for a fact (rapid shot + fast sb/Arcane Acceleration + fast staff).

i think that you would need quite a fair bit of +% to attakc speed for it to go up a lvl im not sure what the max amount you can get per equip is but i've only ever seen +5%

You can make a weapon behave "faster" for less numbers. Weapons speed is not static, and as you add attack speed the weapon will start behaving much like the lvl below (medium --> fast for example) on an interpolated frequency (meaning, it will hit as medium but it will also hit as a fast sometimes). The best way to notice it is while bashing a fort door, set attack cycle to the vslow weapon and check how many attacks you can do each 5 cycles and per cycle using one of each speed weapons. Add the speed bonuses available and you eventually figure out how many % you need to go from 1 to another.
The max speed increase I can think of is around 50% for archers using rapid shot comboing some items and around 25% for warriors using attack speed items.
