Well i'm making new character, i'ts hunter. Currently i'm low lvl (about 12) and i guess Pet Skills are important. What's about other? Long or short bows? Never played hunter so i'm looking for a help from someone with experience ;)

From what I've heard, hunters use short bows.
That's all I can say, though. XD

Use a pet, but apart from the tame spell don't put any points in pet skills.

As for bow type: that's a matter of personal choice - try long and short to see which you prefer.

Try some tricks too - stun fist, sticky touch, dirty fighting - see the effect they have on mobs to give yourself ideas about your set up for war later on.

And later, when you go to war, evasion is important...

i used short until i got to the wz but that was when the pets took dmg instead of the hunter. now i use long bow as with the extra range you should have the mobs health down to about half until he can get to you. short are also good because of their speed. also remember ensnaring arrow which is quite useful. the best thing to do though is to try different combinations and find which style suits you best

I lvl with a high dmg pet and a range 30 slow longbow with no spells, and I kill mobs before they reach me (keep running back between shots and the mob will eventually run in the opposite direction with 5% hp left).

In war evasion is undoubtedly the best discipline any class can get.

ok and what's about scouting and tricks skills? Is there anything useful?

Not until you fight in the war zone.

In the war zone most hunters use enemy surveilance on lvl 3.

You'll need passive speed and camoflauge - and ensnare arrow does dmg as well as slowing an opponent down.

Use Stunning fist, Sudden Strike and Ambush (first spells of Tricks) to help you and your realmmates against mobs.

One more queston about pets. I'm lvl 14 and i have new skill, tame beasts. As i see there is a chance to become my pet. But do i need to kill somehow my old pet? Or it will be changed? ;p

Kill your pet by targetting the new pet you want and facing away in combat stance. Or unequiping your arrows and attacking it. Your pet will attack but you won't and the mob will attack your pet. Then, when your pet is dead, turn around and tame the mob which should be at half health.

Ensnare arrow in scouting is your most powerful single target attack.
Tricks has stunfist, very useful for lvling or for war.

also ambush is very very very useful even at lvl 1 it really helps stopping people who try to get away

i don't know if anybody does this. ...i have short bows leveled, but i still carry a long bow, in case someones too far when i'm chasing them, i can equip that fucker and PRESTO BITCH. if you play your cards right it will work. parabolic shot after you equip, then the rest is no big deal, just use shit you already have normal hit, or ensaring arrow, ambush or sticky touch. anything to get the job done. this may raise eyebrows, but it's worked for me, so fuck it.

Most if not all shortbow users do this, I'm sure.

It's fun when I see someone running away from my realmmates with low hp while I'm looting. Especially when they think they're out of range.

Equip longbow, (optional) Mobility, Parabolic Shot, Ethereal Arrow. RP :thumb:

WOW REALLY? whatd you do, run around asking EVERY regnum player about it? that's dedication...you need to go outside. go look at some kangaroos. keep your head up son.

As you say, you keep your head up.
ALMOST every hunter i find will use a long bow first to keep me out of meteor distance
Simple, its called recalling battle knowledge ^^

"You are out of range"
"Valorious has hit you, Normal hit: 146 damage"
"Fucking pet has hit you, Normal hit: 317 damage"
"You were killed by the fucking pet, next time kill it first douche-bag"

Rather, I've seen it on the forums and in-game.

Every hunter carries a range 30 bow.

If you feel the need to flame because somebody stated a fact, then I feel sorry for you and you need to go outside.

EDIT: Didn't see this.
go look at some kangaroos.
What, you think we have kangaroos bouncing down our streets? :p

That could be perceived as offensive and racist for some.

Anyway, I won't continue this anymore. Thank you, come again.

i'm stating a fact too, kangaroos are in australia, now go outside and go look at some will you please? thanks.
yes kangeroos ARE in australia but no if we walk outside they are not bouncing down the street. in fact its rare to even see one if you live in the normal parts of australia eg anywhere where there are houses eg most of australia so dont generalize australians ok? then we'll get along just fine

I want to go to war for the sole purpose that i can take what i have no control over - Life
I want to go to war so my death is a heros one, and not a shameful suicide (options are kept open)
I want to pick up the knife next to me, take it to school and slash a few teachers and some students

You wana know why?

Cause i'm the meanist, most unpredictable Sociopath you'll ever meet,
To much avail, i dont do it, for a few massive reasons (Like my brother, so far being the biggest)

You think your the best? HA, not even i am the best, nowhere near it. But i take some things very personally, and never back down from a challange

(Alright, i had a pissy day, in a pissy mood and feeling no regret now. Just a heads up, dont take things to personally either, its about time for me to vent off about a month of school beat-ups and smack-downs)

I think this guy doesn't know that the world isn't flat and that his country (no matter where it is, I'm from europe and all I know is big evil Russia and that there are kangaroos in Australia) is not the middle of the universe.

EDIT: I'm speaking about sociopath of course...no problem with anybody who doesn't use the words f**k, a**hole and c*nt in each sentence.

you've probably already killed me before. listen johnny looselips, talking about killing me on a video game doesn't make you all big and bad okay?
Perhaps not, but it makes you dead.

you wanna sound real cool? threaten to find my address and track me down with a huge knife to bust in my house and rape my family and kill me. if you tell somebody something like that they're gonna shit their pants(unless they know someone like you is too chicken shit to do it).
So your advice is to commit the crime of terroristic threats, thereby leaving myself open to prosecution when someone else comes and kills you? (let's face it, if you act like this in person there are probably several people just biding their time til they shank you)

I restrict my killing to video games, thank you.

but if you tell them "yeah man don't be playin where i play man i'll kill you" they're just gonna laugh at you, like i am. thanks for the entertainment.
You're welcome. Tell me if you're still entertained after the 10,000th time i've killed you and your dumbass has to traipse all the way back from save.

if you just don't like me period, do something about it.
What was your in-game name again?

You tell the people about the use of longbows to take down fleeing people. Necro said that he sees everywhere hunters doing this and suddenly you start to call names.

And about the kangaroo thing, I'm sure I can make a lot of "jokes" about the great United States, but I wont, because a lot of nice people here live there.

And I can assure you there are no kangaroos walking around in the middle of Melbourne ;)
