NGD,

Is it allowed to sell items for real money, if that money is going to go right back into Ximerin?
The problem is that, right now, in-game gold has almost no value at all, and some items have alot of value.

I encounter some pretty rare items in the game, and I usually just give them away to someone who is worthy of them, because gold simply cannot cover their value.. IMO it is almost useless, at least until /reset_powers will start requiring it.

I know normally, selling items for real money would never be allowed, but I was wondering if it would be permitted if the resulting money went directly into Ximerin, and thus helped to support NGD?

Of course, this all relies on trust. But then, there are many trustworthy relationships in the game already. I would NEVER consider doing this with anyone who I did not feel trustworthy, and would accept full responsibility for any negative outcomes.

Perhaps NGD could even implement this functionality into the game, so there are not so many risks involved?
I would ilke that alot, and I think many other people would as well. :)

A robust econemy is very important part of any MMORPG, and currently Regnum lacks one entirely.

Regards.

P.S. To anyone who comments on this thread: I don't want to hear critisism about how this will create "trade spamming" -- which already exists in realmchat almost every hour of every day now. If you have a problem with trading and other economical business, then perhaps you should not be playing an MMORPG.

It is clear by NGD's planned changes that Regnum is not going to be strictly a wargame anymore. ;)

But they've already stated that they don't have the manpower (or interest) in creating a support mechanism for those who are duped, and if trading xim (or premium items {which I personally would like to see too}) was implemented, there would absolutely be some people who would take advantage of this, and dupe people.

I would just like to add:

To the person who made a personal attack on my posting style over this thread (what colorful words those were)...
At least sign your name so I know who to kill. :rolleyes2:

The idea is not bad, only Froste already described the problem.
