Hi,
A year ago(a bit after the time I got into Regnum), I was interested in getting some premium content. Yet because NGD uses only PayPal, which is unsupported here in Egypt( and I'm sure in some other countries too), I couldn't. :fury:
This is what I got from them:
"Hello Ahmad,
Yes, we intend to add more payment systems in the future. Fortunately, MoneyBookers is one of the first ones we have in mind so it shouldn't be too long until it's available on the website.
Regards"
That was 17/7/07, which is almost a year ago.
Yet untill now, no improvements have been made in this regard.
Believe me, it's not hard at all to make a merchant account on MoneyBookers, or to use any Debit/Credit card portal, so that players like me could play. Also, you could please look into Google Checkout(which although doesn't have Egypt in its list, I can and did pay with it), or one of the mobile phone payment systems, like mBill,DaoPay(those 2 do support Egypt) which certainly would allow more people to buy ximerin.
About 20 friends of mine here, along with myself, were planning on spending a lot of Ximerin this summer since we're free, but I guess that won't happen.. Heck, I was planning on buying a week horse every week! (Which is why I made a topic about a question on the horses)
Also, this doesn't matter to me, but you state this on your website:
"PayPal
Using this option does not require a PayPal account."
Yet when I click the button, a window comes up with this: "Create a PayPal Account or Log In"
So it would be nice if someone from NGD would comment on this! I hope this can happen sooner than later ;)
Thanks a lot!

You do not need a PayPal account to transfer money into another PayPal account (such as NGD''s). You can also use a credit or debit card, but if you can't get PayPal in your country, you're very unlikely to have a supported card either.

Which is exactly why I'm ranting here.
While premium items may not have a big role now, their importance will increase in the future. And if this would not be resolved soon, I think I may leave the game.

Premium plays a huge role now with the new fatigue system.

all we are asking is at least this :)

If payment was available through other ways, cellphone, OneBip is good too, there would be much more paying customers, I would buy 100$ worth of Ximerin if I could...
Alas it seems NGD always thinks on the opposite side of the world

Wow! Never heard of it before, but it looks really great! I just made an account on it, it supports Egypt!
Please NGD, support this! This is much better than even MoneyBookers :)
Look at what they say of making a business account:
"Add onebip to your site and start accepting mobile phone payments from your customers
Instant setup at no cost
Higher conversion
Real-time statistics with in-depth performance details
Worldwide coverage"
Wait.. Maybe just because they let me register, doesn't mean they actually support payments from me. Does anyone have a link to a site or something I can try this with?
It supports many countries, much more than PayPal. (at least supports Serbia :D )
It works nice, after registration I received SMS with password and welcome message bla bla. Saw this in one flash browser game, forgot name. Works good, and before you pay, you can see how much money transaction will take bla bla, details... I think there was even demo on website somewhere, how all that looks and works
With this payment system which is much easier and faster and accessible to many players, in combination with special offers from time to time (example: buy package of 18k xim, get 15% bonus free or something like that), they might even double income :)

Do you have a link to something cheap (like from $1 to $5) to try this out on? I want to see if it supports Egypt!

Hmm, Tried that.. They said "This Product is not available in your country EGYPT" I guess no OneBip for me :/
Alternatives for payment systems are DaoPay, which does support Egypt, I checked, and mBill, which also supports Egypt. Maybe NGD should look into them?
hm it seems that seller who made account for receiving money can select which countries he will support. just an idea, since i see your country on list
EDIT: here is list of covered countries atm https://onebip.com/merchant/?mod=pricing
no egypt there atm :(

Yeah.. OneBip supports an even smaller country list than PayPal :P
So what we need to find is something that will work for everyone.
Hey Anpu, did you checkout mBill? or DaoPay?
yea once i found which countries they support, (much less than PP) its no use for all. Though idea is great, paying via sms/credit on mobile. Its the most accessible way of paying for many, but its low coverage so...
I didnt try any of those you mentioned. I heard positive feedback about DaoPay but didnt try myself. I saw now they ve got in hot news pay via sms but didnt find any additional info.
For mBill, they dont have big coverage :( http://www.mbill.biz/coverage/
