A poll for Marksmen.

Do you use the range passive? What level? Why? What are your thought on the skill?

I'm thinking of completely dropping it, I don't have it in my new setup and the change isn't really noticeable....

When the telekinesis ring used to give +4% range (best-ring-ever) I got two, totaling +23% range with passive at 5 and a full +53% when using parabolic shot. I got to range 45.9. It was just as overpowered as the speed armor. Absolutely insane. No one would beat my range, No one would escape in a fort war and I could constantly rain arrows down the enemy lines.

You may not notice the range increase now but get rid of it and you will end up wanting it back :biggrin:

I have no points left for it, so I use it only on lvl 1


It is always said marksman are über evasive, and can kill in 3 sec and have awesome areas and are second fastest class and have most range and bla bla bla
But you cannot have it all, so I droped range passive to lvl 1.

Many spells (ambush, sudden strike, confuse, DS ect) are only range 25, lightning arrow only range 30...so range passive is not affected by them.

Lvl 1 becuase I tend to use shortbow setup, then i'd have a high level parabolic shot for when I switch to longbow.

But then again I war with my marksman at level 42 :P

I dont use it, lvl 1. When I m in fort, on the wall, I use Parabolic Shot and it gives me enough time to hurt/drop enemy enough/completely. Especially horse riders around rock who think I dont have range or slow reacting conjus (conjus often die in such sudden range attack than others)

I'll be surprised if many marksmen are able to find the points for more than lv 1...

Edit: oops, i just noticed in the result that plenty use it on lvl 4 :)

Hm.... opinions seem split so far...

I'd like to ask those who have it above 1: do you notice the difference when you don't use the passive (or only at 1) ?

I think lvl4 range passive gives one more shot against mobs before they hit you.

I decided to keep my lvl4 passive, as it gives even more range when you boost with parabolic XD

I have it at level 3. I like the fact it just gives you an edge in frontlines, leaving you just out of range of enemies with the same weapon range minus the passive bonus.

I would have it a little higher but I only have 11 in aiming mastery. I only actually use two of the marks specific powers, level 3 passive range and lvl 4 ethereal arrow.

Short bow 19 (for level 5 powers), Long bow 11 (for concentration passive) tricks 17 (for distracting shot), evasion 17 (for escapist), aiming 11 (for passive range 3) and arrow mastery 15 (for ethereal arrow 4)...
