View Full Version : When do you go to the WZ?

I'm interested so I ask. At what lvl do you think a player is an actual asset to the warzone. In asking this I'm assuming you entered the WZ at this level. I realize there have been players out there at level 5 but when would a player be an actual benefit to a hunting party or a war party. Just an average level as I do realize there is more value in some classes at lower levels.

I would say 45 actually to be really efficient, but 30 as minimum.

My first kill was at lvl 32, a soulkeeper to a lvl 50 marks that was about to die. You could say lower lvls contribute by making you save mana in easy kills XD.

I'd say you're insane coming in below level 21, as you'll need to have level 3 spells to do anything of significance at all :sifflote:, and that's assuming you're a conjurer. I'd say you become an "asset" at level 29 because of the level 4 spells, so I voted 31+. You're important if you're 37+ though :D

30+ is good.....35 is max 36+ is should had been there long time ago

I think around lvl 40, you have most of your spells and a decent setup
and can certainly make a difference.

30 for conjurors, 38 for all others (at 38 you get 1 lvl 5 spell)

36 - 40

Voted 36-40

But I first went out at lvl 29 :p

I even escaped from a knight with my lvl 16 conjurer once. Lost him at the menirah marketplace, turned arround 180 right in the middle of the slope and headed back to the save. The guy lost me, it was hilarious XD

Depends on the class. I'd say early 30's for conjus, and late 30's to 40 for other classes.

But that's just when you're useful. You can go anytime you like and still have fun and the occasional group kill. I started going out at lvl30.

I went in at 18 and died in 5 minutes. Im level 21 conjurer now, so only 9 levels to go until Im useful ^_^ I voted levels 31-35 as it sounds sensible enough.

I went in at level 30 and had an hour fun at samal :p, I mostly fireballed their ass in a large group and killed rushers who tried to get close to our conjurers.
A conjurer can be useful at level 25 just for resurrects at the back of the group or inside the fort

I would say lvl 39, because in Ignis, the most efficient levelling in the inner zone ends by killing snakes near pendant holder next to Altaruk. From lvl 39 the snakes are all green so it's time to grow up =)

Here's my story...

When I first went into the wz with Compoundious was lvl 37 (Cause I had just maxed my first skill); however, I was killed and went right back inside until my mid 40's :D

When I created COMP I stayed in the safe zone until lvl 49 :D

For barbarians id say 45ish and up,

I'd say 47 because of the armors. Otherwise yes around 45 is quite good for almost all class except conju that can be usefull at level 30 if they are full support.

Not practically. At 38 you can have a single lvl 5 and still not be totally lame in all other ways.

I clicked 31-35 because you can level faster in warzone if you know what you are doing xD. I levelled both my barb and warlock from about 33-35 on only in warzone. With the conjurer it was rather around 43. Inner beach still had mass spiders back then :p

I got my first war zone kill at level 24 with a marksman.

I have no problem with lower levels going into the warzone particularly if they are in a party and coordinated.

I have no problems with it either. I could easily wipe out an entire party of lvl 24 marksmen alone.

Bring on the free RP. LOL.

I wish I had a party of level 24 marksmen, I think that would be a fun test.

Valorius
08-01-2008, 09:55 PM
Well if you can recruit such a party let me know, we can give it a try. I don't know if i could beat a full party(that's what, 8 players?), but 4 would be no problem at all. I think 6 is probably the realistic limit without a pet. With a lvl 51 pet, i think it would be very easy, actually.

does that include first thing SotW + pet and kill half of them at once? I mean lv 24 guys can't really defend themselves vs that and would really die by two hits :)

You'd face that as a lvl 24 in WZ, so in a 8 vs 1 of course i would do that first. :)

To new players- make no mistake, even at lvl 45 if you are alone you are dead meat vs most lvl 50's (provided the lvl 50 is in good health and has about 1/2 or more of his mana).

I've been caught at lvl44 unaware, unbuffed, at 80% mana from an ignis lvl50 warlock on full hp/mana, and still won :p

Class plays a big role. Barbs, marksmen and warlocks would probably rape a lvl50 hunter or conjurer even at lvl45. Knights would too if they had the speed to get hunters.

As a general rule though, anything below 45 is an easy kill for a proper lvl50 player on a 1v1.

Who was the hunter? There are a lot of ignis lvl 50 hunters that are, well, very unskilled in 1 vs 1s.

Lvl 45 players are childs play for a lvl 50 hunter, regardless of class.

Seriously.

I am prepared to back that statement up in the Arena.

I sure don't see a lvl 50 marksman, Lock, Barb or Knight having any problems with a lvl 45 either. The only subclass that i can see struggling vs 45s is a support conjurer. A lvl 50 Warjuror or Hybrid would annihilate a lvl 45 of any class.

Well i hunt your turf alone every night. Keep your eyes open for me.

Before the crazy excessive knight blocking skills, Knights used to be the easiest opponents in Regnum. They are much, much harder now, but no way one could kill me in a straight up (ie 100% health/100% mana) 1 on 1 in the WZ unless i let him catch me.

All you have to do as an Archer is keep the distance open and pelt him with break aparts and 30 rng ensnare arrows until he decides to break off and run, then he's totally doomed.

When i lose to knights in 1 vs 1's it's because i fight them 'straight up', and don't run, but instead i allow the fight to become a 'fair fight'. I do that fairly often vs barbs and knights because it's a lot more fun than the hit and run 1km running chase-fight. It's a far more enjoyable fight than running around sniping a guy for 20 minutes. I do also employ hit and run attacks too. It's just a matter of my mood.

My first incursion in war zone I think that was at level 17, that just I arrived to Samal.

I think that I went again to war zone at level 21-23, also a visit of a few minutes, and I didn't come back to war zone until 33-34 that was when the level of the golems of the beach of meleketi were easy.

3 little pvp's with valorius...i won 2 when we were fighting close range he won the hit and run..3 of 4 ms worked:PErm, we only fought twice.

It was 1-1.

In the first fight an Ignis marksman came up and started shooting me, so i sat down. Hardly a loss. (screen shot posted below) In that fight the first seven shots in a row i fired were blocked.

In the second fight(Red star won), and he had 8 blocks (almost my entire mana bar was totally wasted on blocked spells).

In the third fight, a WZ-esque tactically realistic 'hit and run', i beat him(no surprise at all), but he blocked over 20 hits in the fight! Beating him took about 3 minutes as i easily burned through about 3000pts of total mana and fired about 50+ shots total! That fight covered an area of about 500 square meters probably.

In every fight Red Star out evaded/blocked me at a rate of at least 2:1...and at a rate of about 6:1 in the 3rd fight.(I believe he had his blocking skills all maxed, i had a base 80 evasion in the PVPs). I did not reskill for the match, Redstar did. He had a very, very good setup for dealing with a hunter. Good build Red star, well thought out, and some well executed fights as well.

NGD really needs to fix the block rates.

His mindsquash landed all 4 times he cast it, and 3 of the 4 times it totally debuffed me. So 100% hit rate, and a 75% success rate vs an 80 base evade.

You might want to save yourself the hassle asdfghs. This was last night too, 5 fights vs lvl 45 knights in a 5 minute span(The 2nd guy kept coming after me, go figure)

After i beat the knight the 5th time some lvl 50 hunters came after me. I killed them too (i have the screen shots). :)

These screen shots are meant to give new players to the WZ some idea what they'll be facing.

I like a challenge.
(but I thought level 45 players would give 16 rp. But I can be wrong, the last PvP I had with someone of level 45 was ages ago)

at the last 4 screenshots the knight is wearing level 39 armor and wearing a level 36(? could be 39 too) shield

Valorius

15 rp for a lvl 36? That's not right.

Isnt it:

18rp=50
17rp= 49-48
16rp= 47-46
15rp= 45-44?

Kinda hard to go by what armor a guy is wearing, since everyone has at least one or two pieces of looted armor. Also with the recent economy changes he might be wearing lower lvl armor to save money training. I don't honestly know.

At any rate, whatever lvl he is, he was quite brave. ;)

Here is the screen shots of the hunters who came after me next. Reknon and Fierro. After that i got greedy and attacked Samal save. I killed Dixster(lvl 50 conj) but Fierro had worked around behind me, and him and a couple pt's finally finished me off (he's a good player, and a crafty hunter). It was a good hunt. :)

I post all this so that new players see what to expect if they run up against a lvl 50 in the WZ. Studying the attack sequences should also be quite useful for a new to the WZ player as well.
