Hello Morphine,

I use a ATI Radeon 9200SE with 128 MB ram aboard. Goes quite well.
Just some lag at zone like orc camp (lot of mobs) or during battle with lot of players.

Sincerly.

there are ones that you can get for under $100.00 and they perform quite well PNY GeForce FX 5200 PCI Graphics Card (VCGFX522PPB) will perform quite well for you and its only $69.99 USd at circuit city. So check it out love to have you back in the game playing.

Regards,

Darth ~

I'm using a Nvidia Geforce 7300LE.
Well, if you are running Linux (like me) you should go for a nvidia card, as ati doesn't work very good on Linux.

I'm using 7300LE, running 8x antialising, 4x antostrophic, every effect turned on and highest graphics, 1280x1024, with no lag. Bought mine for about 500SEK ~ 50EUR

I use integrated Intel GMA 945 instead of a graphics card ... at the lowest settings the game may not look the prettiest, but it runs well. Quite honestly, I don't like the blurriness I see at higher settings.

Strange. What CPU do You have? I have almost the same h/w as You and works well on Ubuntu 6.06.

It must be something else ... does it still do that if you take your settings down to the lowest?

Maybe if you are lagging/freezing/skipping then it could possibly be your internet connection?

I have a 2 ghz processor.

I have a cable broadband Internet connection.

I have no problems running any other games.

Reginum runs terribly even on the lowest settings. In large battles the screen freezes, the ping goes through the roof (its normally sub 100) and by the time the game is functioning again I`m dead.

Morphine,

1. If You are Linux user: do You have DIRECT RENDERING = YES? In terminal try:
glxinfo | grep direct

2. If You are a Windows user, try reinstalling the graphics's card driver. Try newer one.

I use a well tuned win98 (v2) (Don`t say it`s obsolete, I`m getting sick of bill`s propaganda)

I was so annoyed that the game wouldn`t run properly, I installed new hardware (obviously with the latest drivers), a completely fresh install of the OS and the only software installed was reginum.

The game functioned just the same. I`m not the only person who gets this, talking to the other players makes that quite clear.

Initial setting was 1280x1024x32
this is my usual setting for 3d MMO's
game lag was totally unplayable
reset to 1024x768x32
game was playable but lagged bad
when attempting to turn while running

the client produces a critial error while quitting game

my guess is the game uses advanced shaders
and the video setup doesnt provide for shader level settings
my FX 5200 is fine for games as long as I can select
shaders 1.1 to 1.3 however advanced shaders arent supported
by a FX 5200 NVidia chipset.

I will try again with colors set to 16 to see if that helps at all

but even this forum lags

Morphine,
I'm w/ tandcemerson about the internet connection.

I've got broadband with a quite powerful desktop, and I have lots of lag/stuttering/etc. Even if other games work fine, each game can use that connection any way they wish - more or less efficient.

Maybe your cable connection has big transfer rate but high latency. Maybe you can find a website that will check that.

It was nothing to with my hardware or my Internet connection and probably never was.

I`ve installed the linux client on the same machine and it runs REALLY WELL !!!
