Ok...so I decided to do a little test to see what would wield more - someone with auras or someone that can deal MAX damage to the dragon.

Question for the readers: What class can do the most damage to the dragon?

Answer: An archer with retalliation lvl 5, a dot spell, and a massive area.

So here is what I did. Kept lvl 5 retalliation casted, used lvl 5 sudden strike, lvl 5 dirty fighting, and lvl 5 rep shot. I took off ALL of my armor to attain max damage from the dragon.

The dragon would area and I would get hit for 0 damage and he would get hit for 100% of his area (thx retalliation). I kept sudden strike casted, used my DOT every cool down and used rep shot every time it cooled down. When repping I would use dirty fighting and I stayed close enough to the dragon to keep dirty fighting cased so my base hits with a fast bow were doing 250'ish 75% of the time (or so).

Dragon died...and I got some xp, 2 diamonds, and 9k in gold.....wtf?? Can you imagine the damage I did to that dragon. However, some of the known "aura" spammers got MUCH MUCH more to include some drop.

This is total horse poo....

Question for the readers: What class can do the most damage to the dragon?

Answer: A barb with maxed blunt slashing and warcries.

Sc with Satarco sword can do over 5k dmg to him(highest I've seen was smth like 5.5k). Without onsl its still over 3k. With buffs and attacks combos: sc/charge/sc/charge u do far more dmg than any other class. Add that u can spam 2 areas, which improve ur own dmg as well

Point of this topic is that arua spammers get to good stuff. And regardless of how hard the barb hit I bet you get most because you use lvl 5 onslaught and off with heads (or some variation)

Depends how many aura spammers there are. If there were 30+ ppl and only 1-2 were spam auras they'd get best exp/loot maybe. But the more aura spammers there are, the more direct dmg done to the dragon counts, imo(remember u can have max 3 auras active on urself, so, for example either 3 conju auras, or 3 knight auras). And since dragon killing requires lots of ppl(of who man y spams auras) I think dmg dealers can get better loot. Cant say that as a barb, since due to my lvl dragon is still hard for me even with full party, but I got not much worse gold amount with sc hitting for 1-1.5k dmg, than my conju spamming greater healing mana communion and protection dome.

I was with the group who kill evendim some days ago, i was there at the begining. My warlock put him a lot of damages and a conju friend is come to help us but at the end. Evendim has les then 1/4 of his life when he was there and he get a special ring ! I receive only a crystal, xp and some gold. He say me that he only use mana/heal communion and healing.

IMO the dragons should give a lot more gold, many times the amount they currently give.

This would ensure that repair costs are covered, with plenty of profit for your efforts.

Also, it would help to alleviate some of the poverty some players are experiencing.

I was a few times with the conju there and even if there were only 2 or 3 conjus I never got much xp or a drop. With barb it's just totally different and I already had one drop on the barb, but sadly it was sth for archer ... . So yes: maybe aura spammers take away your xp and chance to get drops in some way but they won't get the drops themselves. Without any exception, everything has dropped to either barb or warlock up to now, 90% to barb and 10% to warlock or sth like that.

My knight is currently configured as an aura spammer with 4 lvl 5 area buffs which were constantly kept cast after cooldown. I've been there on 10 dragon kills and ended up with alot of gems which sell for crap and enough gold to barely cover my repairs.

Now, I do know that a conju that spams auras has a good chance for the drops. They've received the drop about 20% of the time they were present.
