I have some questions about hunters and the basics elements of the game.
What is the purpose of leveling a category of powers, like Tricks or Evasion? Does it enable you to get more powers from that category if you sink enough points into it? Will resetting powers mess with the level of the categories?
What race would best fit the hunter's role?
Are there any good English fansites (my Spanish is mediocre)?

Are there any good English fansites (my Spanish is mediocre)? Leveling tree will give you more powers from it. In each tree there are 12 powers. level up tree 2 times and you ll get new power.
Reseting powers makes all your trees "clear", only one power in each (like at beginning). However, points for leveling trees you wont loose, it s still available to level now any tree you like.
For race, which realm are you?
For fansites, you have

From the wiki:
Character Advancement
As a character gains experience (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Experience) either through quests (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Quests) or by killing monsters (also known as grinding), they gain new levels in their selected class. At level 10, they can choose their subclass (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Subclass).
Character skills/spells/powers are organized in disciplines (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Disciplines), each discipline containing 10 spells. All classes get 4 disciplines. Warriors (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Warrior) and Archers (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Archer) get 2 extra disciplines upon choosing a subclass (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Subclass), while Mages (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Mage) get 3 extra disciplines.
Each new level awards the character with some disciplines points and in some levels some power points as well. Disciplines points are assigned to disciplines to unlock new spells, and power points are assigned in spells to raise their effect, duration etc.
By using the command "/reset_powers" a player freezes for a minute and then unlearns all his skills and recovers all of his discipline and skill points. This is called "reset" or "respec"· It is recomended to use this command only inside the players realm's safe zone, and near his respective class trainer.
