Of course ! I would never trade dual monitor setup even for the biggest screen on earth xD

Arch 64-bit
DE: KDE SC 4.8
Kwin & Qt theme: Oxygen-transparent with this color scheme (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Dark+Obsidian?content=148616)
Plasma & Icons theme: Caledonia
Font: Roboto
Wallpaper: this (http://onlyhdwallpapers.com/space/abstract-space-planets-purple-desktop-1600x1200-wallpaper-16689) (with blue tint)

Colibri for notifications and Yakuake as terminal.

PS: KDE is slow and easy to misconfigure.

Depends on which distro tho.
Ubuntu is well known to have slow and bugged KDE packages, thanks to their awesome packagers... For me, KDE >= 4.3 has always been faster (in term of startup and loading at least) than GNOME 2.x (didn't test GNOME 3 yet).

Well, matter of taste anyways :P

I traded it for two separate computers, which is way better :P

Also, as a middle finger to the second part of your post, here's my Mint 12 KDE desktop that I decided two days ago to run as my main desktop from now on:

Very near to stock KDE, pretty much only modified the widgets to my liking. Lancelot launcher instead of standard, removed some useless (for me) widgets etc. To be honest, I'm pretty happy to run stock anyway, most of it is the way I want it already. And yes, it does feel faster than GNOME in general.

OS: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" KDE 64-bit
Desktop: KDE 4.7.4
Kernel: 3.0.0-16 generic
Theme: Air desktop theme with oxygen-cold color scheme, otherwise oxygen all the way :D
Wallpaper: Linux Mint 12 KDE default wallpaper

And as a special with my love to you, the current Amarok playlist (which you can't really see but w/e, you can see the currently playing track) :D

Mint != Ubuntu.
Well, in fact, Mint is a polished Ubuntu and they fix a lot of flaws of it (and I guess also the poor KDE integration)...
However, I must agree the KDE integration in Ubuntu has gotten way better than before, but it's still way more bugged and slow than what you can find in OpenSuSE or "true" vanilla distros like Arch or Gentoo.

All true - but there are a few Mint-introduced bugs as well, so it's not all perfect. To be honest I wouldn't be using a *buntu, but I need automatic hardware (wireless) detection so my choice is pretty limited. Sabayon had its quirks, Archbang had even more... And here we are :D

First time in a long while that I'm not using Arch or Debian (because I can't be arsed to put it all together myself, keep up with updates, etcetera).

Arch 64-bit, with pretty much just Openbox. And conky. And shitty icons. And of course cairo dock, but I don’t even like it that much (too slow), just haven’t found anything similarly non-pita ish.

Openbox and e17 are the only WMs that actually do what I want in terms of window behaviour. I guess I could do the same with awesome, but I cannot into awesome, lol. Or rather, I don’t want to. XML ftw, LUA can suck my ***
(note, the dock actually is in the background. I like windows using 100% screen space)

I'm on a Debian Wheezy based system with JWM as window manager. The distro is called antiX, I really can recommend it for computers with <2 GB RAM. Advised minimum is actually only 128 MB RAM.

I have not customized much visible stuff, instead I changed from default to focus follow cursor, save places of some windows etc.
2x 24" screens, dunno what to put on desktop so it is almost empty - I keep irssi window open all the time because lots of space on desktop
