What is the strongest pet a hunter can use?
list damages without buffs....
I think Cyclops was making the most of damage, but I also feel their armor is weak against elemental damage.
Hunters usually pick pet by hp/damage ratio, and I think troll is currently optimal one.
I think there was also list of all pets and info about them in Spanish forum part. If I find link, i ll post here.
EDIT: here I found one link that might be useful to you. Its in Spanish, but hope it ll help.

I favoured the Ignean Orc, i find that the huge trolls screamed "look at me im here", hardly very sneaky. :)
I'm quite fond of my yeti.....very alsius :)

unfourtunately there is not one of the wolfs at 50, I tended to favor the Ig Orc too, he was compact, did not hit as hard as say the cyc, but is a touch faster and have better defense (as in it would take a SC and a norm instead of just the SC to kill it :( ) but there has to be something said about the mental and obstruction factor of Comp and his Yeti. Nothing in the game gets the same effect as a Yeti topping the hill heading for you. (and god forbid it says Comp under it :crying1: )

I am sorry but this list of damages is not correct...
The person that made this list must have been naked or below level 50
1) I have never seen a cat monster hit more than 50 - 60 damage, same with kelonte, gargoyle,
Ill run around and let monsters chew on me to get their damage factors.

Just a wild guess, but it seems my Troll Slave does something between 120-200 at knights. I've no idea of the exact numbers. I do know that it's a good pet :D

Not to be picky, but did you mean 450-700!! damage on Wrath? If so, the Giant Troll has really similar damage numbers as what you listed.
I used to have a decent listing of pet HP and damage. The gist was that Giant Troll / Tol-Tar are neck and neck for the lead, and even the Ignean Orc Grunt was a relatively far second place. I'd love to see more pet diversity, but it doesn't make much sense to chose anything other than the Yeti, Troll, or Tol-Tar (except for line-of-sight issues).
If pets maintained their powers when they were tamed, I think pet selection would be a lot more interesting.

Yup...your correct sorry 450..not 550 starting. Highest hit with critical I've seen was 712 on a mage lvl 45'ish

With wrath(5) and sudden strike in the arena against a lvl 48 unbuffed mage i've seen yeti hit 804 (or some other ridiculous number like that) crit, but that has happened exaclty one and it was planned so it really can't count.
I personally like the giant tol tar simply because i like things that are big and red, reminds me of the planet mars :P i figure since im not exactly good enough a hunter for it to really matter how good the pet is, i go for what i like the look of best ^_^

Me and an Alsius friend fought our pets against each other... I had a giant tol-tar and he a yeti. They hit each other at exactly the same time each hit, almost exactly the same hit points (both with Bestial wrath) and actually both died at EXACTLY the same time. It was pretty comical. It is also a great way to see which is stronger :)
