Camouflage does not work when you are being attacked?

I thought that you could camo at any moment but it seems that it is not. I mean I saw 3 enemies aproaching so I started to camo. One warrior run like hell to me and stroke me before the camo was completed and to my surprise I did not camo so he killed me with 2 strikes (????) So what is the point of camo if you can't when you most need it? Can someone explain to me that?

Any attack cancels the casting of camouflage.

They made camo cast time longer to make it more difficult for hunters to escape.

The idea is to make it an attack spell rather than an escape spell - you cast it before enemies are in sight (use track skills) and then use your invisibility to make a surprise attack.

In "old times", the combination of Son of the Wind and Camouflage allowed a solo hunter to attack a huge group of enemies, kill one or more targets, and then camouflage inside that group, while being attacked.

This is one of the reasons camo and sotw works like they do today..

Camo should only be used for tracking. It is almost like cheating if you see a group charge you and you camo and get off scratch free. People will abuse it just to win. When the group gets tired and walks off Hunter attacks and then boom back in camo.

Were have you been? The Atk canceling Camo update came ages back. Mostly because it was to easy for a Hunter to SOTW-Camo if a fight was going badly.

IF you want to use camo to escape try to get a good distance then hide behind a tree or rock before casting.

Meh, you must be one of those people that claps to themselves when Hunters go camo as if it was a crime. To win? Tracking + Camo uses alot of mana, if the opponent is smart you are usually dead.

I love the claping type of ennemies.
I don't know where some people get the nerve, for example I was chasing a little mage from PN to Pines where on final HP he hides behind a tree and continues to play run around the tree, wasting my time I go camo so he starts clapping.

Or my favorite was the green knight at PB I went camo on, *clap clap*, I pop out and fight again so he runs for a nap with the fishes in the river. (Why do people drown with 1/10th HP left? Do they not know they get necro and I still get RP?)
