just started playing. major issue here!!

ok i just started playing regnum but realized i cant move using mouse... i asked a player there that looks like he has been playing for some time and he says that we cant move using mouse only keyboards.

wth?! is this true?! i tried moving using keyboard for like 2 min then it started to become unbearable.... do i have to fix something in setup?

There's no way to move with the mouse.

There is an autowalk key though. Unless the default changed, it should be Q. Try that, it should help :/

The movement is like this for a reason. Once you get used to it it's actually very intuitive for fighting RvR. I can't see how clicking on the ground to move would work the way battles are fought in this game. A few changes are underway to movement as well such as strafing.

and like everyone says, it would be rather difficult to play regnum like that, since its not the usual click on mob to auto run to it and attack, distance and position play a bit of a role, and precise movement is preferred.


not trying to promote other games or scare off people, but honestly dont play a game you dont like from the get go, itll just be frustrating. theres alot of mmorpgs that cator to mouse movement, maybe mmorpg.com can help find you a suitable one

I never played a 'click to move' MMO. I have to assume you mean 'mouse look movement' something NGD might implement in near future as i understand.
Personally i dont think it much difference with the current keyboard + mouse look compared to keyboard + mouse look movement. I takes me like 10 minutes adjust, both options available would be really nice though. But 'click to move' no thanks.

Give WASD/arrows a chance, the MMO I played mostly before coming to Ro used mouse movement and after getting used to WASD I much prefer it, it allows for more fancy footwork and less reliance on the games auto move AI, which in many point and clicks can sometimes be a bit glitchy (running in circles stuck on stuff etc etc...)

Give it a chance, once you are used to it its nice not to wear your mouse out clicking the ground all the time. :)

Egads how could you ever suggest perfect world. That is the absolute worse MMORPG I have ever played (41 year old here) unless youhave a ton of cash $500 or more youll never amount to anythingnear end game. That game is soooo full of nublets it is amazing as well. Just my 2 cents from an old man :)

Since last update you can move forwards by holding both mouse buttons and turn with mouse look as well, still need the keyboard for backpedal and strafe though.

Maybe I am special but I can move with the mouse.

Hold left mouse button down, then hold right mouse button down.
