Anyone saw the new chararacter prototypes?

ngd, are really gonna make the characters look like this soon? the mages look ok, but the warriors? their shoulder guards are very abnormal looking. Please comment if ur really doing this so i know if i should just quit the game right now. :D

They said that these are by no means final design.

Two things i find lame: Bulky armor to make it attractive to.. people.
Half naked girls: Same reason.

99% of mmorpg fail at this. Regnum has both coherent and not overdone armor and clothed girls.
I will never understand why mmorpg girls only wear the lower half of their leggings and prefer to go almost topless over protecting their lungs.

Im not gonna vote on this one, because I didnt have too much of a problem with the warrior armour (although the shoulder guards just looked silly, if you wore that you wouldnt be able to see whats left or right), but the female mage 'armour' was just ridiculous. There are better ways to make armour obvious as to whether it belongs to a man or woman, other than doing what all MMO's do and strip half of the girls clothes off for some cheap virtual eye candy. -_-

i dnt want ngd bulking up the armour to make it apeal to 10 year olds like all other mmo's do. the warrior armor looks ok (except the shoulder guards which look retarted). and the mage armor is too slutty.

i wish ngd would work on something more important than armour.

He didn't ask Chilko, Surak, Kailer and Niclam to work on something more important than armor... he asked NGD. The fellows you listed work for NGD, as do the artists. NGD pays them both. I agree with him that "NGD" should focus more on fixing the numerous bugs rather than frivolous eye-candy that nobody is asking for, perhaps by hiring another programmer instead of an artist.

I do appreciate the fact, that currently women doesn't look like some wicked hookers here, like in other games. I would be realy sad seeing it to change. I love our mage tunics the way they are (as for shape and lenght) - same as the other armours who doesn't seem to need much rework (maybe adding quivers for archers, robes for mages, sheaths for warriors, so they wouldn't wander along with naked blades attached to their backs).

I know not many females plays this game (comparing to male player base), it looks also that not many developers are female, so dear NGD, know, that most of women, do not share view of that "sexy" look, common in MMORPGs nor appreciate it. Do not tear apart our great robes - you did them quite well. Or at least give us the posibility to choose various versions - long ("not sexy") and short ("sexy"). I thinks at least some women in MMORPGs, aim for something better than be half naked cute babes.

I can't help it, even if I am none of those crazy puritans.

I don't like the warrior armour either, not realistic, while realism in certain elements is great in MMORPGs, and why those elven ears got longer? They are already enourmous, not to mention that the face of the new female mage face looks spooky and sluty, perhaps because of lips a'la Donatella's Versace (bottox, bottox, bottox and even more bottox).

I can´t agree more, it look unrealistic in WoW they got the same problem because Blizzard made half naked girls in all races ( Undead seriusly look disgusting, unless you pack them in a heavy armor ), then many people simply dropped the girls, i would rather have a heavier armed girl, than a naked piece of shit..
