I am still kind of new so if any of this is off base consider the source. ;-)
One of the biggest complaints I have seen is grinding, grinding, grinding to level. Especially for 40+ levels. And to be honest grinding does get monotonous and boring.
It seems like one suggestion that I haven't seen is getting some amount of XP for war. I know regnum points are given which determine rankings for something I haven't figured out yet. Why not XP as well? Also having safe grinding spots in the inner realms for higher levels should be limited. I think this would get more players into the WZ.
Just a suggestion....

We already discussed that it would rise ridiculous amount of massive pk-ing and zerging. Exp should be taken from quests and mobs, but I do agree, the long time grinding is a torture for people who can't spend much time in the game. PvP and RvR shouldn't be source of income of XP, though. Very unfair.

Gold is given out when a fort is taken still right? Well why not give exp from a fort too? That way more people will partake in the fort wars and underpopulated realms would seem less populated because defending would see them levelling up faster?

Yes it is sad that NGD cares more about their vision that actually producing a fun and effective game...

Doesnt have to be forts, might be xp along with rp for kills themself.

That already happens, and so what if it does? How will that effect the game negatively? Powerleveling using forts wouldn't be very efficient either. It would just encourage more and more people taking forts and then taking back their forts for the exp. So a fort is empty, it is taken by an enemy realm, the realm that lost the fort sees it as an opportunity to strike back and win their fort as well as get exp for it, for those who want to level up. win win.

I say dump rp's altogether, and make it xp instead. No point in having several different kinds of "point" systems. We dont get "FP's" for taking forts, GV's for everytime we make gates vulnerable, etc.
If we must count enemy player kills, then it should just be by the notch system, as in "kill one enemy, get one point". But I would just prefer xp instead.

RP's are good - leave them how they are. The problem with getting XP for kills is that people will save camp, zerg around killing everyone and stay away from forts. However, if you let people get exp from taking a fort, people will just run off to an empty fort and take it. Especially on horus during the quiet hours.

:lightsabre::fury: it really sucks how you only get gold for capturing forts, I know its fine but ive already got loads of good things and I think you should get XP and have like a war status for capturing forts and castles cause I have a lvl 50 but nothings fun unless I go and attack forts but its all anoying and then you capture one but then they get it back 2 secs later... I think there should be special levels for capturing forts and castles so there wouldnt be in realm grinding that much so more people actually fight... and if you get jewel go to lvl 70 or something and ur some kind of special warrior or somting' anyway...:fury::lightsabre::drinks:

XP would make WZ more attractive to lower lvl players, as there really would be a purpose to fighting for forts, even against a zerg, as they might still kill 1 or 2 and get something useful out of it, as opposed to getting something useless out of it.
And it might reduce the number of lvl 50s in that zerg, since xps are useless for lvl 50s. They would only go for the purpose of either invasion, or realm pride.

XP should be given only from forts in the warzone.
You said it yourself, if RP was taken out less lvl 50's would be taking part of a battle, zerg or not. RP is a system that should remain for the purpose of that it can give a player satisfactory for killing another. It can show how active a person is in the warzone and to a certain extent how skilled they are in their specific subclass. When you are lvl 50 the only count or rank you have is the rank of RP.
It has been stated however from NGD that they would make RP mean something in the future. For it to be tradable for certain things. I don't think much had been evolved from that though.
