Yes, i'm new to the game and I just wanted to see if anyone could reflect some stuff back on my questions on the leveling system and how hard it is to reach level 50
Q:#1 Is it Possible to level up fast by just grinding on monsters.
Q:#2 What's the average time it takes to reach lvl 50 (Play Time, Monster Count, Quest Numbers ect.)
Q:#3 What's the length to the quest's, and are any of them timed.
(P.S) I don't really like games that are all about the quests...that's why I ask.
Reply ASAP TY

1: YES
2: One month, for most chars, if you grind your ass off 4-8 hours a day.
3: No timed quests, quests are mostly easy and annoying, i recommend doing them as that is where you get rings and amulets (only place you may with the exception of the uber bosses)>

One month only? Jujuju, took me 9 months to make my knight 50. I never grinded 4 - 8 hours a day.

Hows the pvp/rvr for the lower levels?

You can grind to 30-40 pretty fast, and you can already have good fights, even around level 30.
(Grinding just gets ugly between 40 and 50)
Ps: It's possible to get to level 50 within one week, but you'll need loads of ximerin and coffee :sifflote:

Unless its a large group of your allies, i would say stay away from fort wars till you hit 30-40, Small hunting groups is a pretty good test at 30 and under to do some pvp and rvr action. Im not saying dont try it, im jsut saying that you should expect to die very fast. I started about 30 or so with most of my chars in the warzone. Once you hit 45+ you really get to have a lot of fun, kill more people, die less often.
Regnum.wiki.com is a huge help for finding npcs for quests, looking at character abilities, help with quests, FAQ and all of that, i used it very often grinding out quests.

As a knight, you're expected to protect the weaker classes (such as warlock and conjurer) with knockdowns, immobilizes and dizzy spells. You should be able to do a reasonable amount of damage in close combat and survive long. Note that due to some recent updates, it's not very easy to fulfil your duties as a knight in the current state of the class, but hopefully ngd fixes this soon.
You get 4 basic warrior disciplines, then gain an extra 2 upon choosing your subclass as a knight:
-Slashing, which gives you spells to use with a sword/axe, this discipline is mostly dmg with some other tactical spells (slowdowns and area knockdown).
-Blunt, this is a more tactical discipline but does higher base dmg (dmg without skills).
-Piercing, currently this discipline is quite useless, but some like it for the extra range on spears. You should use all 3 disciplines to a lower lvl as a knight, to get the most important spells from each.
-Tactics, this discipline gives you knockdown spells, some extra defense and extra speed. I recommend you put this discipline to 15 when you go to war at a higher lvl for lvl 4 spring (speed) and caution (armour), as well as kick and feint, which you'll need to defend your allies.
-Vanguard, this discipline is mostly a dmg resistence, with a constitution passive, an aura which significantly increases the armour points of your allies, and your last resort survival spell, Army of One, which reduces most received dmg by 80% (with the exception of some special spells)
-Shields, this discipline is supposed to increase your block chance but for now, the only working spell is Protector due to some changes made in the block system. It does, however, have some useful spells like shield bash (long duration, short cooldown dizzy) and some defensive auras.

A month to 50? Are you playing 24/7? Dear god.
I don't play much, but my friends do, few times a week and it took half a year to hit 50

This is valid only for experienced players that know how to grind and concentrate on grinding (unlikely, grinding is boooring). For newbies i'd multiply that by 3 to 5 (depends on weapons, armors). For knights even more.

1. Yes
2. 5 weeks from lvl 1 to lvl 50, without life (6+ hours per day), without ximerin, sometimes with party (maybe 20% of time with party)
3. In alsius 2 days = lvl 1 - lvl 30 using quests (but using a horse bought for gold, now it is probably a bit longer)

Get a BIG grind party (4-7 people) of your level +/- 2, reskill for 3 lvl 5 auras (HP, SW and SS) and spam auras on party members so that one aura is active at all times. You will get large xp via GRP :) Knight should not grind alone.

took me 2 months to grind my knight to 50 I'm told for a knight and a first char thats pretty quick.
I leveled my knight in 2 months using a few(4 or 5) 200% XP Boosters, grinding for more than 4 hours a day(not every day though). I leveled from May to finishing June.
Note: The Knight class is the HARDEST class to lvl in RO.
I have another Hunter, took her from 1-15 in a day. Left her waiting. When I came back to her I took her from 15 to 31 in 3 days doing quest's (Both my Knight and Hunter are Alsirians). Then i leveled her from 31 to 39 in about 7 days taking 2 of them off (no internet) and using 2 200% XP Boosters from 37-39 grinding only. I know that taking my Dwarf Hunter to 50 is about a month or so. Still working on it (lvl 39 as of 2 days ago). So from 1-39 on my hunter it's about 2 weeks give or take the time I do not play, grinding hard.
So, normaly, from most to least hardest classes to level:
1) Knight (Hardest)
2) Marksman
3) Barbarian
4) Warlock
5) Hunter
6) Conjurer (Easy)
The classes from Barbarian to Hunter could vary from one Point of View*
I Hope I gave a hand on this for new players, and remember that the Range classes are favored here.

hm i dont agree with livv
grinding a hunter is not as easy as you are saying, it is easy when you have good items
i have a lv 50 hunter (Rasta) and grinding him was much harder than my marks (lv 34 atm) cuz my marks has some good stuffs and the right setup
mobs dont even touch my marks while im grinding, and i was only using normals
with rasta i spent like 3 or 4 weeks to get to lv 34 and in my marks... like 2 weeks
grinding my marks was much easier
ps: i grind my marks and play with my hunter, so i dont grind all the time

The thing to remember is that you can grind from about 1 to 35-40 relatively quickly in the inner realm, including quests.
After that, you should be in the war zone most of the time. There you can keep grinding, but still be ready to fight in wars as they occur. (Make sure to join a good clan and fill up your friend list to keep informed). Plus, as soon as you get involved in a war, you'll be hooked if Regnum is your type of game.

Actually, grinding a hunter is still ridiculously easy compared to most other classes.
Start off side on, hit the mob with 1 ensnaring, then strafe and hit every so often, timing it so that you move immediately when the arrow is shot and stop long enough to shoot. Hard to explain, a bit hard to get used to, but you can grind non stop with around 5 - 7 shots per mob, with no evades.

Exactly! I'm amazed how few people usue this method! What's more, many players used to spread BS, that it is imperative to grind with pet.

Q:#3 What's the length to the quest's, and are any of them timed.
Q:#1 YES, although i dont recommend it, still think quests are faster.
Q:#2 I am lazy, so i took 9 months to grind my mark to 50
Q:#3 No, timed quests
As lumi said alsius quests makes you lvlup pretty fast, some updates ago you still had some problems at lvl14 and lvl20-21, now you can grind all up to lvl30 only doing quests.
It took me 5 days to reach lvl30 as mark, again i am lazy, but you probably ca do it in 2 days.
Could you make a video to show us how you do it? Maybe i can learn sth for my marks.
Check Enio's strafing video. That's exactly how you do it, but timing is a little different.

#1 yes but would be tedious.
#2 about 4/6 weeks each with scrolls and depending on time put in. I did the knight in 14 days, a few hours a night, no conju support. (just a 50 knight who kicked for me, thanks Korn ).
Never really used a conju to grind with for any of them. (9 months x 6)
#3 Quests and wz were a fun part of the game to brake up grind.
Fastest in order for me personally was Knight, conju, hunter, lock, barb, marx.
