A question:

No, for now Horus doesn't have enough English speaking player base to open it to spanish speaking users. We have a broader Spanish community that would populate that server in weeks and transform it into another Spanish speaking server. Believe me we know about this. Sorry.

Can we get a few details? E.g. What definatly, and what definatly will not transfer across with the characters?

RPs and Clan info will not be transferred.

And also how far down the line is a realm transfer option?

I dont think there is enough player base to open another Spanish server.
Good to hear about the transfers though. Maybe people will stop complaining for once.

I think many ppl would transfer to a new spanish server... Actually, Ra have peaks of 1200/1300 users, it´s too much for it!
With the ppl who will pass to the new server, and new users, that will be able to choose between Ra and the new one, it won´t be empty...

(Sorry for having this discussion in the English forum, but it´s here where I can find Kailer :p)

I didn't think there were that many O.o
But again it might end up a lot like Horus where there is nothing going on a lot of the time.
Feel lucky there are so many. (disregarding lag)
So I see no need for another server. ^^

If the server was able to support that amount of ppl without crashing/having the lag we have, I think there´s no need for a new server.
But probably it´s easier to divide the spanish community in two, than upgrading the server (I don´t know anything about servers... I am just suggesting).

If the server was able to support that amount of ppl without crashing/having the lag we have, I think there´s no need for a new server.
But probably it´s easier to divide the spanish community in two, than upgrading the server (I don´t know anything about servers... I am just suggesting).

And I realize that but maybe its less about having another server then it is fixing up the server now. Making the player capacity larger, fixing lag and all that fun stuff.
To me, two servers would mean more isolation between players, there would be problems with friends playing on one and you on the other. Or even if that isn't an issue I still say the more players the more fun. Maybe in time there will be no lag or crashes. Though another thing might be your connections and your system settings.
Just a thought.

Yes, you would have to buy an Extra Characters Scroll. Given that Character Transfers will be free for some time and raising a character from scratch costs a lot, I don't think that the Extra Characters scroll is expensive. :)

No collision if the deleted character is of the owner user of the transferred character. If Miraculix (LVL1 - Horus) gets deleted in the same account as Miraculix (LVL50 - Ra), there will be no renaming, unless some kind of error takes place, and if it happens, you will have a rename scroll added to your character anyways.

I dont think thats the Idea, the point of this is mainly to let old English speakers who played Ra before Horus was launched have a chance to bring their chars to the server they now mainly play, and maybe bring a few old players back who didnt want to re-grind on a new server, and hopfully bring Horus population up, its not a dead server, but It could use some extra players.

If you let players go Horus -> Ra we would probably end up with less on Horus than we started with, as people move to the more active server, slowly more and more people would go as Horus shrinks down to the players who are 100% against anyone speaking anything but English (for some reason) and the server may die out. This is not what we want, we want it to grow by encouraging new players to join, not shrink it by giving people an option to go elsewhere.

If you really want to just 'try' it then make a new account level a char to like 10, and just hang around a bit to see the ammount of/sizes of war.

Don't worry. It's not the idea. What we have yet to discuss is whether we allow or not those who were transferred to Horus the limited time chance of going back to Ra if they didn't like what they saw or experienced. We have to remember that human beings can regret some actions :P

Anyways, I think that the ones that decide to move to Horus are completely decided about it and those who hesitate are a minority.

Transfer from Niflheim to Horus would be awesome. Maybe later if you think that the server has an english speaking player base?

Niflheim is a server of Gamigo, and we can't allow transfers from those servers as they are not our users.

I would love to see more ppl joining Hours.
But transfers for already overpopulated Realms should not be allowed. Making realm with already 10:1 active population even more overpopulated is a mistake that everyone will regret.

Depends on the price of transfer scroll I guess.
But maybe making it more expensive for realms that are OP and cheaper to low populated realms would make more sense.

The Scrolls are free in the begining

and matt is right.

theres maybe.. 5 people in each realm on Ra that will transfer - the English population itself on Ra is almost non existent besides a few clans.

i see server transfers as a future tool for NGD

though like said previously if ngd sent a news letter to all players about transfers you might see some inactive ra english players making the switch and playing again

if the day comes where spanish players can come to ra we would prolly see 20+ joining Horus in each server.

ok i think Matt is right on this IF the transfers aren't open to spanish users. I think transfers should be opened to the spanish users and make war on Horus not quite as massive as on Ra but hopefully even out the two servers.

There is no possibility to make an agreement with gamigo, the players buys a premium item from gamigo and transfers his chars to an ngd server?

basically if you are currently in RA and you are not from spanish speaking countries, you should be allowed to transfer.

There are not that many English speaking people in Ra maybe around the 50 in a realm that are actually active because I'm from the Netherlands and I play in Ra (Alsius barb) and I got no clan but I know of before I also went to Alsius and I was in the English clan.

There are not that many English speaking people online in Ra if only the English ones go to Horus it still would be unpopulated.

If NGD just let everyone to Horus the Spanish can make their own clan problem :closed1:

not many non-spanish speaking players are still playing at Ra, but i think many quit because of the language problems and many people have old accounts at Ra were they still play at Horus, i really want to transfer my conju from Ra to Horus, although it not lv 50 but im way too lazy to grind an new char to lv 50....

I cant be bothered to go trailing though the thread but somewhere in the last few pages Kailer said it 'should be done before the end of the month' (or something like this)

Its not a promise, obviously, but Id guess thats Kailers own rough idea on when he can get it done by, not warrenting for other things that may spring up and need fixing urgently etc.

Hi Community,

First of all, I'm very sorry to those that are still waiting for Character Transfers. If it wasn't for my illness it surely would've been live a month ago. I'm still recovering from this annoying illness (IBS) which was generated by a viral gastroenteritis and a LOT of nerves and stress.

In the last 2 weeks I've been feeling better and working as much as I could. Sadly, to be fully recovered I could need to wait for months or just days. It depends mostly on my nervous system :P

So, this post is to tell you that during next week (Monday is holiday, so beginning in Tuesday) I will be testing all the stored procedures and interface in a live environment and hopefully this will mean that before June ends, Character Transfer will be live and free from Ra to Horus. I dare to say this because 95% of the coding and art assets are finished.

Some details I need to clear up:

- RPs are completely removed, so if the event is still running and you're participating you may want to wait until it finishes.
- If you have characters in another realm in Horus than the ones from Ra, you will not be able to transfer.
- There will not be a Realm Transfer scroll, at least not for now.

Anyways, I'm working on a lot of things at the same time, but I'm not so often around the forums as it's one of the most stressful parts of my job. Sorry for that.

You do know that if you have a char on Horus, that you cant transfer it from Ra to Horus....

His lock is on Ra, and I havent seen anything saying if you have chars on Horus you cant transfer from Ra.

A char cannot be transfered IF on the account there is not a free slot. I have one on my account(actually occupied by a lv1 char to save the name that i will delete in the moment i will have to transfer).

You do know that if you have a char on Horus, that you cant transfer it from Ra to Horus....

you got it wrong man. as long as you have a slot left in Horus, you can transfer your RA char to Horus. this server transfer is a character transfer not account transfer.
for example, if you have 2 chars in horus and 3 chars in RA. you can only transfer 1 char from Ra to Horus because you have only 1 slot left in Horus. if you have 3 chars in Horus, then in order to transfer, you gotta buy a xim scroll that give 3 extra char slot ( can't remember the name of it) so that all your RA chars can get transfered.

rp only indicate how much time you have spent in wz and possibly your combat ability and experience. i have 160k+ rp in RA but im willing to make that sacrifice in exchange for a english speaking world.

I dont care about my Rp, I care about my hard work.

Some say rp is also hard work..i dont see it...i see it as entertainment, if it meant anything I would be mad to have it removed..but it serves no purpose..and I also do not believe it shows fcomabt prowess or experience, as farming rp is easy, with auras, so differentiating a skille player and one that spams is very hard..unless you watch them in fights..which should be your basis for experience..not rp count..but how well they perform and give/follow orders/proect teammates/sacrifice etc.
Also Alot of skills have changed, so say someone who used (non nerfed) sm, auras, will have gained this rp, and newer players will find it more of a struggle to achieve the same number.

So i think rp is fine to be removed on tranfser, no big deal..people will come to respect you regardless of your rank. if you prove it :)
