I'm not a beginner, but I wasn't sure where else to ask this.

I've recently been informed that I am not allowed to use any P2P software on my internet connection, so I need to know if Regnum has any P2P activity. I've been informed that many MMOs do, but hopefully someone could (de)confirm this.

Thanks

As far as i know, the regnum client does not use a p2p system to update, so you should be fine over your connection.

Also, when ISPs say that people are not allowed to use p2p, they normaly meen heavy p2p usage or for illigitimate activity, so you will likely be ok even if regnum does.

Thanks for that. BTW, I've checked and there's no P2P allowed here at all, even for legit purposes.

You should get a new ISP. If they arent letting you use P2P software even for legitimate reasons, thats just stupid.

Me too! Regnum is not p2p (pay 2 play), it's f2p (free 2 play) plus premium contents. This has nothing to do with connection protocols.

I am aware that there's no obligation to pay to play in Regnum, but what I wanted to know about was if there was any peer-2-peer connections involved.

Silly abbreviations ::¬¬:

Hmm, it is not so silly like its sound. Peer2Peer needs many traffic, produce many TCP overhead and slows down the whole connection (especially the upload). And if this internet connection is used by many peoples, this rule is a good idea. On the other side, a game that use Peer2Peer without an option to disable it, have a big disadvantage.
