Why do pets have mana?
i dont think that you gone give them powers
so why do they need mana?
it dosent make sense

so others can steal their mana? btw, I'm no hunter; but with monsters casting spells.. Don't the pets also?

Pets don't cast, in case you're unsure about that. Their mana can be stolen by mages, and for now that is its only use.

No mage steel mana from pet they alwas go for master.
so if that the reason its stupid and pointless

it would also be easier if every mob looked the same; doesn't mean it makes sence :)

since your nick sounds polish, I am more than sure you played some other MMOs avaible for us ;P mana isn't always for abilities, skills or spells.

And I suppose you do realise that mages have energy borrow which can fill their mana up. In earlier days of Regnum, energy borrow could steal even 1000mp from a champion mob. Now it's a pretty puny spell since it was nerfed

That made me laugh. Maybe because I need some sleep..

But just think, every player has mana, they use the same "system" for mobs. They have the same structure, so also mana. It just isn't useful, but live with it.

So mages can steal a pets mana if they want to
Because mobs have mana that mages can steal in grind
Because changing it so that pets dont have mana when mobs do is extra work for no reason

Make Sense now?

than just don't show the mana bar :) that's easier than showing it on the screen..

Well no, the easy thing would be to leave it as it is, its more work to remove it just for the sake of freeing up a tiny bit of screen space. Theres no real reason for it to be shown but its not hurting anyone.

Sotw has only 15s duraction you realy think i can beat a mage in 15s when he has full hp? im an archer not a barbar you know :P

Well mages are not so weak, and barbs are not so tough to kill either.
Mages have learnt to deal with that damn spell . .

As a hunter coming out of Camo on a low health target with Ambush, Confuse and a 20ft troll your hard pressed not to kill your target in the first few seconds.

EDIT: And perhaps something that is on topic also:
cokolwiek, I think the point Matt was trying to make was that if a hunter uses SotW and the mage badly needs mana the mob will be a valid target... ^^
