View Full Version : First Priority For NGD in New Year
The new Engine is released and NGD are hard at work making bugfixes and optimizations.
Question is to the forum members, what should be their primary focus be on in the coming year, aside from the engine and its fixes?
I tried to make a list but I am sure there are other ideas that may need focus.
Post your opinions.

Edit: I know we want all these options and I am sorry to make it so hard to choose just one but , Ngd is small .I just wondered if they could narrow their focus to one deliverable, what would you choose first ?

I would fix position lag and the bug that makes it very hard to select targets, so playing the game would be less frustrating.

+1 to that . While they are at it they can abolish the abomination that is the phantom swings.
Thanks for reminding me of that.

Yes, I agree with DkySven. And we finally need some balance adjustments...
(Reists, PLLEEEEASE look into this issue!!)

Realm balancing is the primary issue.

Realm/Class balance, lets try get the features we have now working (again) before going onto other things.

Mmm, it would be good to see some more quests for 40+. WoW and other contenders have quests and other activities (except war) for high levellers to do, but Regnum tends to leave the elite all on their ownsome after a while. It would be good to fill in some gaps, and maybe get some more variety...

Voted for "Restructuring of invasions for all levels" (surprise?)
The shape invasions are in currently don't add to the fun of the game at all, rather the opposite...

More quests and new Warzone objectives.

I would vote for this too but its not on the list.

+1, and I'd also get rid of "Phantom Hits" or "Phantom Swings" in addition to crappy positioning and ridiculously frustrating targeting mechanics.

On second thoughts i'd vote for the goats to suffer an itchy, irritating plague of flees.

Just had to quote this one to say ... LOL.
I voted more quests, etc. I've always found Regnum's plot thin to say the least, and the quests so badly written one can hardly bare to read them. In fact most people don't. Also there being no quests after level 40 is a bit of a joke. The quests that are available are all a bit Postman Pat-ish and the weapon rewards are feeble.
That said, my main peeve at the moment is the selection problem and the 'sticky mouse'. At seemingly random moments the mouse will 'stick' and simply moving the mouse around [without any buttons pressed] will either move the camera or the character direction and camera. Damn it that's annoying. In fact the whole new movement / selection system makes me want to eat my own head. So if you see me in a battle doing some sort of brakedancing routine when I should probably be healing you or killing someone, blame NGD. :lightsabre:

More warzone objectives besides just forts/castles! Either that or change the way invasions work to cut out some of the fort-camping boredom involved.

I voted for restructuring of invasions.
You really can't do anything in the WZ at all until lvl 30+, and that causes a lot of players to quit.

NGD have said they are working on some sort of WZ for low levels that will be able to directly effect invasions, how they plan to do this I dont know, some largish island with 1 fort to hold (with weaker gate/guards than in main wz) prehaps?

Ignore my first suggestion, the first Priority for NGD in the new year would be logically, to get rid of their hangovers
then 'GIVE DWARFS STILTS' Baaaa-aaaahh

More gameplay (do the powers, options to do in warzone which should be simpler than invasions, and even taking a fort, designed for guilds). And balance for warriors.

Fixing positioning bugs and phantom swings is a must imo. It is extremely frustrating, especially inside Imperia Castle. (I mentioned Imp because I don't see this happen that often anywhere else, and I'm sure it is as frustrating to our enemies as it is for us)
More balance for warriors: Now, knights worry about dmg, barbs worry about defense...
Targeting is a joke lately and it needs some adjusting asap. I find myself having to click and enemy 4 or 5 times before it actually selects him :rale:

I would start playing this game again if i could transfer my character to the english server. Having no one to speak to on the spanish server is what caused me to quit in the first place.

I voted for spell and balance stuff.
I would immediately play again when they focus on my "favourite" balance issue (http://regnumonlinegame.com/forum/showthread.php?p=845664).
But well, we'll see what NGD does in 2010.

no. 1 - Lags and position bugs (3 years of waiting -.-)

1. Lag position.
2. Restructuring of invasions for all levels.
3. I think that NGD should improve the gameplay (RvR) of subclass melee vs range.
4. Territiory expansion. Personally see always the same thing is really bored. I think that NGD could make a change.
